Willing to learn on daily bases

Maintenance fitter,able to work shifts,standby, work without supervision,fault finder,used to act as foreman,able to work under pressure,self motivated and highly experienced in all plant and mining mechanical equipments.Worked at different environments and companies such as mittal steel,anglo american, refineries ,petrochemical at natref and sasol,also able to weld and pipe fabrication,basic rigging and boilermaking.

Pros: Want to see myself as a Foreman
Cons: Long working Hours,standby=us,available on weekends and holdays

Dynamic company

Very informal but controlled environment. Corporate company with family values Should you wish to study they will encourage and support you to study within the field the company can utilize. The decentralized setup can be a frustration as not all people working at business units understand the corporate structures a listed company b need to conform to. I enjoy the flexibility of the work environment. At the lower level it is still very structured as it has to be but at mid management the flexibility is very good. It allows for much better planning and allows you to get out to clients and business units when it suits you.

Cons: Seasonal with longer hours within season

Great work experience

typical day includes farm visits to clients, making sure budgets are being maintained by clients. driving to meetings later on the day. i work alone in the field so its quite daunting and doing things for the first time. i have learnt a lot more about farmer mentorship. being away from my family is really painful at times

Developing my career

I can work over hours then not been paid because i love my job. team work is my activities also at work. over supervised can lead to lack of concentration. i don't like to work with lazy people .

Innovation with fun

Under the R and D department, knowledge science, culture, innovation, invention are encouraged with a hint of fun. Omnia Fertiliser is awesome. The people are awesome, motivated, driven and persistent. The higher ups have clear goals and they're communicated in ways easily understood making execution easily.

Relocated to WC

Omnia is a great company, proudly South African Looking after their employees, benefits, bonus, learning opportunities, training, mentoring. Omnia is well diversified in the primary sector, and would be able to exit for years to come, due to young great leaders in management

Planning and Scheduling

Planning is more of a way of life than what it is an occupation. Therefore in my current company I thrive for continuous improvement and I have a preventative mindset. On a daily basis Planning and Scheduling of all maintenance related tasks are at the forefront as well as fault finding and finding and process optimization. One of my strengths is Shutdown planning. The most challenging aspect of my current job is to establish a set production schedule to enable maintenance to plan for 3-5 years ahead of schedule
