Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Reviews

Gives a broad view of administrative expectations and facet as well as skills

A typical work days includes engaging with students via email, responding to their queries, participating in strategic planning of how to move normal academic proceedings towards a blended learning platform. I learnt how to conduct myself in a semi-professional manner, the nature of office politics and culture, improved my organisational skills and learnt new skills.

Pros: A very understanding and fair head of department as well as kind altruistic colleagues. A manageable workload and fair work time flexibility.
Cons: Patience required with regards to responding to queries. Its fairly sedentary life behind a computer.

Learned to work with people

Advanced Marketing final year student. I have previous work experience as an waitress ans part time Manager. I chose to complete my studies and therefore gave up my opportunity to work with Restaurant. I believe I have obtained enough knowledge to say that I have skills in Communication and working under pressure. I didn’t however find industry beneficial to my course I am completing

Pros: Excellent relationships with staff and customers
Cons: Couldn’t pursue the company for longer
