Great company

I feel very honoured to be working for Murray and Roberts Cementation. The company provided me with training, And they equipped me with a lot of resources to do my job very accurate, Being in the Mining industry has taught me a lot of things, one of them being communication. We have about 200 people on site who comes from different courtiers, and of course the languages are different, so that has been a challenge but now and happy to say I learned three languages and I speak them fluently.Being in the Mining industry has taught me a lot of things, one of them being communication. Hard worker and optimistic

Hardworking

I am applying for the position of boilermaker after viewing the responsibility of my skills needed in the position, i believe that am qualified to fill this politikom. I know how to read blueprint,read technical and engineering drawing and how to precisely measures and cut the materials used to the describe measurement.I have experience on bending and welding process into shapes without distorting the material ,i can inspect the finished product for defects. I have experience on working on heavy and light metals.i have included my resume with complete details of my skills and training.I am sure you will agree that i have what it takes to be a brokerske.

Excellent environment , with great mentors

Working for Murray and Roberts for the past 4years has been a great opportunity for me. I'm from an environment of civil/ buildings from my previous company when i got here I had no idea im entering a completely different side of surveying which was more of structure and construction. My co workers are the best ever, most have more experience than I do. They taught me so much from different surveying equipments I hardly used before from working with dumpy levels, lasers and a GPS to using a total station and learning how to sett_out. Murray and Roberts is a bigger company compared to the company i worked for before, so now the challenges are bigger, the pressure is greater but its been a stepping stone for ones career it has been worth every time spent here.

Cons: Overtime on weekends they worth it , job gets done and its more pay

It was a really great learning experience

I am a very hard working individual who pays attention to detail and is always deadline driven. I work well individually and in a team. I do not like being micro-managed as I feel everybody is employed to do their own job and make the Manager/Superiors life easier as well as the company's I have always worked well under pressure however look for more efficient ways to work to eliminate pressure. It was a really great learning experience where I worked hand in hand with Construction, Welding, Quality Control/Assurance Managers, Supervisors, Foremen and other employees. This way I leaned all steps involved in completion of the biggest project in Africa and 4th biggest in the world I have always been a dynamic person that adjust easy to any working environment as I have shown in my career. I would be a great asset to your company and look forward to year from you.

Pros: Great learning/work experience. Opportunity to work with people from all over the world. PLA weekend where we get off once a month Thursday 12 pm and get the Friday Saturday and Sunday off
Cons: Long hours, overtime from 7am to 8pm. Contract job.

Contributing towards site stability

I have had the opportunity to implement successfully the Murray and Roberts Safety, Production, Quality, Cost and People( SPQCP) Operating Model and Supervisory Briefs. I designed and implemented leadership development programme for supervisors, foremen and and line management. I have fostered strong working relationship with my superiors and subordinates. I am managing the demobilisation process vey well though it is the most delicate process.

Pros: There are great opportunities to empower the workforce and to climb up the coporate ladder
Cons: Intellectually and physically demanding work but enjoyable

Still to learn

relationship with co workers and clients is good , i enjoy meeting and interact with people daily and having to fulfill my duties and meeting what is expected of me ,i have a excellent customer /client good relationship skills and the organisational systems . a typical day will be when i have to attend to multiple emails that needs pod , some being backdated up to 4 years that also needs to be searched and respond to , to clients within a short space of time .

Full sinking and equipping skills

Full experience in sinking shafts, equipping of shafts and conventional mining. Have driven most winders possible AC and DC up to newest technollogy on winders. Been doing this for 20 years now so i have a lot of experience.

Great Exposre

Great environment to learn about long structure management and the flow of information from top to bottom and from bottom to top. Workplace culture is also one thing that i learned and how to deal with things such as diversity.

Good working environment that you learn new things everyday

COVER LETTER I am writing to apply for the position of welder, utilizing my 5 years hands-on experience, expertise in operating all types of welding and associated equipments. As indicated in the enclosed resume, I am adept welding metal components to repair or fabricate products in keeping with work orders and using Fluxco weld, CO2 (MIG) weld, TIG (Argon) weld, Arc (stick) weld and gas welding equipment. Additionally, I am proficient in different welding positions, I am able to follow healthy and safety guidelines while performing the welding and fabricating the task by wearing full PPE required for specific task.
