The job is on a contractual basis with no benefits and no 13th cheque.

My day at work kicks off at 06:00 am and it entails the following; Checking emails , conducting site visits, attending to reports of crime and opening an investigation diary. Ensuring that surveillance equipment are in order.Having meetings with relevant role players. I have a fantastic relationship with my co-workers. I always encourage them to achieve. I sometimes have a dull moment, especially when a crime has been committed. I have learnt that in life it is so meaningful to be humble to others as we don't know what challenges others are faced with or have been through. I always try to have a light moment with fellow employees they know that they are always welcome to approach me for advice. I love the vibrant working environment as well as the nature and the surroundings. The most challenging aspects of the job are the employee instability and unrest and also when surrounding communities start to make demands and march to site.

Pros: None
Cons: Long hours

Working towards an unclear goal with minimal support.

Working at MH in the beginning before the merger was good, the benefits great, the vision clear and the targets achievable. After the merger the culture and focus of the company changed creating isolated departments, non integrated functions and a work force struggling to reach a common goal. With only a few years left they are attempting to correct what should have been corrected 7 years ago with an iron fist, alienating the loyal staff and not securing their legacy and future.

Pros: Great benefits, my department i created work well an in unison.
Cons: No executive or HOD support, politics

Great exposure to learn different expertise

sOne should be willing to put an effort and work hard as there is a lot of pressure within the environment. A typical work day would be doing ona consistent thing as per contractual agreement. With the little knowledge I had with regards to the project, I must say, I learnt a lot since I joined the team. hould be willing to put an effo

Pros: An opportunity to expand the knowledge and equip interpersonal relationships
Cons: Limited space for career growth

Willing to go the extra mile

My typical work day is man power planning , doing planned maintenance and brake downs. I will visit my team and do some morale boosting if necessary, We do have time to make our jokes or just have some team building time will working in form of competitions. the most challenging part of my work is to ensure that all people at the work area do have the necessary lights at there work area as they move around and to make sure there is power available.

Pros: We a very close team that support one another and can crack a joke or two
Cons: We under staff, that can put some stress on us but we always come out on top
