Metropolitan health group Reviews

Excellent working conditions

I really enjoy my work here and the company do try to make every feel comfortable and represented in this company. Everyday is different especially with my Team leader where we have one on one sessions to motivate and prepare the day ahead. My co-worker will make fun of every work situation to easy-up the day as we are in a high pressure environment just to lesson stress levels. I really solving my members queries and receiving the feedback from them once resolved and assisting my co-workers wherever possible. The challenges of being expected to know the clinical information whenever you are on the call by member refusing to be helped by anyone but because of the previous assistance you gave to them. The thing I enjoy about my work is that I learn everyday about any health related matters as queried by my members and I have become interested in the medical field industry as well.

Pros: Opprotunities for personal growth are limited
Cons: Average working hours

Learning curve

I have been working in the medical administration for +-19 years, As forensics investigator I enjoyed working with external parties. When findings are completed, I have to draft affidavits to lodge a investigation of fraud with South African Police, regular follow-ups with Warrant officers. What I like most, when providers acknowledge findings and pay the funds back to the medical aid. As Technical specialist, I monitor real-time submissions and attend to call centers queries. Testing data-base and implementation of rules. I enjoy engaging with people, transfer knowledge.

Pros: growth
Cons: retrenchements

Challenging, very good learning experience

Working at Metropolitan Health group was as an amazing experience and challenge on a daily basis. My days were never the same and my superiors had confidence in me to get things done. I was able to work at my own pace and had the opportunity to be innovative. We worked on projects in areas of our department that needed much needed attention and was successful. I absolutely enjoyed my job and the main purpose was to be awesome at provide excellent customer service. It sounds cliche but that is one of my passions ,helping people and obviously with the end result having resolved an enquiry. I worked with a great team including our manager and team leader. There was fairness and openness about the progress of the department and especially our client whom we deal with on very tight deadlines. The most challenging part of the job was when our deadlines were due.

Pros: Great learning experience and there is room for personal improvement
Cons: Work load could be overwhelming

Medical aid terms and ICD; Terrif cods and practice codes

I work in a very strict company with time and giving quality service to all medical aid members and practice at all time . In my typical day I am expected to take 80 plus calls and 20 calls am most likely to transfer to other departments . One thing I love would the medical aid benefits and pension funds that the company provides for all employees that I work with. but the most challenging part is that the system is old and we are expected to solve all queries at all time but some agents or department capture information incorrect

Pros: team leader or a trainer
Cons: 12 hours

Pros: Performance appraisal and incentives are given to motivate employees
Cons: When having back log we work more than 40 hrs a week

Excellent learning curve

I like challenges and innovations altogether. I feel like as one of your employees I will be able to use my innovative skills appropriately, hence I would like to be a Chartered Accountant one day. I am a committed, goal orientated, ambitious and reliable individual who shows a keen interest in whatever task on hand and I do it with my out most excellence. I am punctual, open minded person, a team player who can also work independently, structural and a strategic planner. I have good telephonic etiquette, computer literate and creative. I have a better understanding of Microsoft office packages. I have the ability to work under pressure and execute the task at hand well. I have been working at Metropolitan Health Group since February 2017 to February 2018 as a Medical Claims Assessor, and then I was transferred to Correspondence Management system where I am currently working there as a Contextualization Clerk.

Pros: There is an opportunity of growing with MH only if you work hard and prove yourself as a dedicated employee.
Cons: We only work long hours only if there is a backlog and we get paid for it(overtime)
