As a Strategic Planner, my responsibilities are: • Formulating & implementing media plans and creative approach in order to help promote our clients’ products and services. • Collaborate with our clients’ advertising, public relations, and product teams. • Be capable of interpreting briefs, developing and understanding media objectives, target market’s consumer journeys and relationship with media touchpoints. • Work closely with the lead Strategist when creating and presenting flow-plans. • Constantly demonstrate a strong appetite for new technology, emerging platforms, pop culture, media engagement behaviour and trends. • Mentor Interns / Assistant Strategic Planner • Understand the role of Digital and ATL Media platforms • Take initiative to learn and grow in other areas

Learning Curve

My Company is a very well to work within, I have a bubbly colleague . its a very chilled place with understanding of each other. I have learned to communicate more, improved my English, to interact with people from different backgrounds. I enjoy the free gifts the media owners will bring to spoil us.

Excellent for growth and development

I am currently studying Advanced diploma in digital marketing however I do have media management advanced certificate as well as a national diploma in marketing. Mediology grants the opportunity to learn and grow within the industry.

Excellent learning curve

Company has two branches with extremely different cultures. Johannesburg branch is most lively, has a work culture, vibrant. - but no cultural representation in senior/ executive committee. - this breeds lack of identification for the middle and or junior level staff- which has a diverse representation. Cape Town branch is dead. No culture, no positive energy which makes for a boring work- environment. - no cultural diversity at all. - beautiful views of the city from the office but tense environment. - consists of +_ 6 employees in the entire branch,

Pros: Great learning opportunities in Johannesburg branch
Cons: Long working hours, little pay
