I get to work early to make sure that everything is ready for the rest of the day. I give feedback on the work i have done the previous day and ensure that I get the working papers ready for reviewal so that they are submitted before the deadline. I have a healthy relationship with my co-workers as we need to make a good team spirit.I have learnt that you need to be flexible in the work environment and be willing to learn new skills and that you can not expect to work in your comfort zone everytime. The most challenging aspect of the job was being placed in a totally new department were i had no knowledge about the work, fortunately it turned out to be an amazing experience I have never imagined it to be.

Life of an auditor

A typical work day would start with coffee with colleagues. Then after addressing emails. Throughout the day I will attend to meetings with junior data analysts and clients. I will review work throughout the day from the data analysts. After work I will set up for the next work day and do a bit more reviewing and plan my to do list for the next day.

Excellent learning curve

Handling all aspects of HR on a daily basis. Performance management, IR - definite growth. Recruitment - graduate and other recruitment. Regular changes and updates - exposure too.

Growth

I have grown within the auditing and finance function over the past three years where I have specialized in IFRS compliance and financial statement preparation. I have also had the opportunity to work in our corporate finance division where I experienced immeasurable growth.

Long unpaid working hours

Long working hours, spend most of your time in office. Focus areas is productivity rather than training staff and exposure is limited, exposure is based on who you know.

Excellent Learning Curve

A typical day involves working with different teams, in performing an audit engagement. The audit engagement teams usually depend on the size of the clients business and whether or not the audit is as a result of a statutory requirement. In my senior roll, as a member of the audit engagement team, I am responsible for setting budgets, performing the planning section of the audit file, allocating work to juniors, supervising them and reviewing their work. I am also responsible for communicating with the client as wells as the audit partner or manager on the job.

Receptive to client's needs.

A well established company with great skills and opportunities to offer. The company has a high number of employees and sometimes there are language barriers but thats the beauty of diversity and english gels us well.

Fast paced and great environment to learn a lot from

Working at Mazars is a great learning curve. It pushes you to learn more and to use your time more effectively. There are constant deadlines to meet, but it is refreshing to constantly be challenged in that regard. The people are friendly and they truly do live by the term �One Team�. Everyone is extremely nice and want you to excel at what you do.

Exellent

Doing Financial statements. Doing tax returns. Doing VAT returns. Doing audit files. Checking work of a Juniors and semi-seniors. I am hard worker who always strive for excellent.
