Lorna Jane Reviews

Excellent learning curve

I have learnt quite plenty in the company, time keeping, thinking on my feet, customer service ,drawing up budgets and planning for the month ahead in terms of scheduling staff and the admin side of retail which I took most interest in. The day-to-day running of the shop requires paying attention to detail and planning and organising not just from today but also yesterday's work. I have also learnt that business is interdependent just like we need customers they also need sales ladies. I have grown to understand people more as my customer service skills have been sharpened with the years of retail. Which my retail diploma has helped me to do so. I have also learnt to go up and beyond for the customers as I have had the pleasure of working for 2 companies who pride themselves in being the best in customer service. Which I will forever be grateful for. I am now looking for a company that I can grow into as I feel my line of work in stronger in adim.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Long hours and work all weekends

Excellent learning curve

I enjoyed intereacting with the clients and it was a healthy work environment . I have learnt that we were not just selling gym wear but its a actual life style. My releationship with my co-workers was very healthy and we had mutaul respect and worked well as ateam.we alaso motivated each other . I enjoyed reaching store target and receiving new stock and training my team on how to upsell. The only challenge i had was stock selling or sizes being sold out too fast and clients wanting different colors of tights except black.

Pros: getting free clothes
Cons: no opportunity for growth

Global Brand Exposure

The culture at Lorna Jane is one of a sisterhood, where all employees work together to get the job done. No day is the same so you need to be flexible and hands on. The team is small so its important to communicate with them at all times as decisions are made and implemented immediately. The greatest lessons learnt have been to be resilient, strong and up for any challenge. I enjoy the interaction with staff and customers the most. The challenge is always to do the most, with no budgets.

Pros: Personal Growth and development
Cons: No benefits
