Excellent learning curve

I luntu Mawisa have had the time of my life working for first car rental Cape town. I was a shuttle Clark a role that demanded a lot because I had to make sure our clients got the service they deserve, so that basically means that there's no room for mistakes . However,unfortunately I had to leave the company dude to the COVID-19 pandemic that saw the staff of this particular company being let go.

Great opportunity for career growth

No one day is the same as the other .Co-workers are wonderful people and great friendships are formed .There is a great scope fr career advancement and growth . We are encouraged to be innovative and to take own decisions for our different units that we manage . Funder demands make for long working hours and that leads to no work-life balance as constantly we have to comply to funder requirements The organisation offers very competitive salaries plus benefits like medical aid and pension fund .

I have learnt a lot from my previous jobs

I have worked for Khethimpilo for past four years and it has been a good journey. I have good relationship with all the components that we have which are Clinical, support services (HR), Community services, Pharmacy department and social department. As we all know that each and every work has its own challenges, but the most important thing is how you handle pressure and try your best to meet deadlines. It is important to me to learn from my mistake and try not to repeat one mistake. In my current job the most challenging thing is that they will give me deadline, that needs thing now, but I always try my best and its important to give report all the time even if you can not deliver on time.

Great experience

I have gained a lot of experience, both in the IR field and employee benefits. KhethImpilo is a good organisation to work for as they always take the employees' issues at heart. They are all for training and development and wouldn't stand in your way should you wish to further your career. I get along well with my colleagues and enjoy working with them. The most challenging aspect of the job was to get use to a non profitable environment coming from a very corporate one.

It has given good exposure in term of the HAST program

I enjoyed mostly the training and technical support which I gibe to facilities. I mange to identity gaps which the facility manager struggle to see through monthly file audit and work on closing those gaps with the support of the facility. It has given me opportunity to be in meetings with subdistrict and substructure managers where we discuss new ideas,implementation and improvement of those facilities failing to reach their target.

Pros: You are given change to do your schedule the way it suit you facility needs
Cons: Sometimes its resistance to change to the facilities when new idea come for implementation
