A typical day includes to: Monitor and maintain quality control of all aspects of site work; Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act; Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports to the Project Engineer; Ensure critical issues are brought to the attention of the Project Engineer as soon as they happen; Conduct random materials quality inspection; Ensure that the Contractor adheres to the requirements of the Record of Decision (where applicable) and the Environmental Management Plan; Project Management; Assist with compilation of tender documents and tender adjudication reports; Compile project close-out reports
Pros: Learnt a lot on reticulation design and management and people's management skills
Cons: doing the similar work all the time with less room for growing in the Civil Engineering descipline

Some stagnation
day gets easily disrupted though unplanned meetings which are too many I am loved as a friendly and fair colleague people run to when they experience work and personal problems have learnt to be patient with too much red tape corporate governance very respected too many meetings and reports and less action Board does not add significant value i enjoy providing advice and assistance to the organisation and employees to employees

I need to impart my SHEQ knowledge and also learn from my team.
I am a good lessons and take instructions well. I love the people I work with hence it's easy to share information so that everyone may have the same knowledge. I am a team players and I am not afraid to let others shine. I am good at conducting incident investigations, risk assessments and contractor management. I am passionate about implementation of SHE systems.
Pros: I never leave work without finishing the work for the day. I would rather stay late and know that the next day I will start new work.
Cons: I end up doing other people's work because I finish my work fast.

Hard worker and a team player
To collect the optimum revenue for the company by: • Contact customers by telephone and email to reduce debtor’s book. • Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices. • Maintaining appropriate records for daily follow up, promises to pay and payment arrangements made and update notes regularly. • Liaise with billing department for computer system update with regards the meter changes on customer’s accounts when required. • Working on strict monthly and annually collections targets. • Print monthly statements and email to customers as requested. • Update customer’s contact details. • Create and maintain an effective reporting system on Excel spreadsheet. • Prepare credit control reports weekly and monthly and report to the Manager, Credit Control. • Implement Credit Control policy and Adhere to the National Credit Act

Flexible and passionate person, I love working with people and gaining more experience from them,the compony and the stuff.I do not mind to work extra hours as I wil be doing whats best for the company and making clients happy by meeting their needs.The rules of the company are to b respected and I am willing to obey them. Exploring new challenges
Ensure company vehicles are roadworthy and optimally utilised at all times. Investigate cases of vehicle abuse and monitor fuel usage. Give drivers training and redirect traffic fines. Monitor SLA compliance and apply penalties where fleet providers fail to comply. My recent achievement was when we managed to deliver specialised vehicles to user sections within the set timeframes as per the project plan.
Pros: Ability to interact with the public and provide users with fit for purpose vehicles
Cons: Little or no promotional positions in my section.

Challenging and interesting but slow on growth and red tapes
Supervision of 6 staff members, 2 Technicians and 4 assistants Project Initiation and Management, building and infrastructure Maintenance Technical work to give extra support to technicians by physically attending to problems. Labour relations, and planning HR and Training of Personnel Stock Management (Internal and External liaison )
Pros: i plan my own work
Cons: Red tape to efficiency and budgets when work need to be procured.

JSE
The JSE has equipped me with a full understanding of investments. A better understanding of risk as far as investing is concerned and overall a better understanding of Markets as we see them on the news. I started here knowing but a tip of the iceberg and can proudly say that I now also own shares in different portfolios. A typical day would be ensuring that the Start of Day process kicks off and executes successfully, checking logs, monitoring the database activity. Preparing Test cases from business scenarios received from Businenss Analyst and updating existing test cases on Test Manager TFS. Logging of bugs from tescases that failed and tracking of defects.
Pros: High pressured environment that keeps you busy throughout the day
Cons: working hours tend to stretch and family time is cut short from time to time....but that's part of life
