Seta Pilot Project

Daily i attend to customer call screening and directing calls to the relevant department Taking of messages and passing it through(via email , making call , sticky note) Signing in parcels and giving it to mail room I have a good relationship with my co-workers just along as they also do their job , i tend to take control because i believe that a small thing reflects the hole group either or less we all made that small mistake. i have learnt not ti get emotional and attached to customer quires cause some customers take advantage of ones kindness. I enjoy being able to help out in other department with paper work when asked to its when i explain to my manager that the call log is full and we cant just transfer without screening, and that the internal calls are making a Que for the customer,mean while other department are not picking up their phone when there are actually in the office

Pros: understanding new softwears, understanding warranty issues, understanding CPA
Cons: working on weekends with the id department( having to tell customers people don't work on weekends and they ask you what are doing there alone)

Good learning area

Learning new things everyday how to handle difficult customers, and how to give a good customers services,collection cash do petty cash daily, also do administration work on daily basis

Excellent learning curve

working for my current company has been a learning curve, a typical day would, starting the day off while following up on emails, which will include follow ups from customer, as well as following upon reminder alerts . it would also include resolving complaints which will include, product related complaints, delivery complaints, financial complaints , proving settlement letters, paid up letters, dealing with reckless credit, itc, updated , i would describe the environment has easy, friendly, mature environment, open plan environment . the most challenging aspects is be the the systems, as well as the restructuring going on, as well as policies and procedures , changing on a monthly basis.

Good learning curve

You receive different kind of customers and different kind of queries and high volume of calls . Have to be patient and listen attentively to your customers and be able to come with amicable solutions . It teaches you that people you working with are not just colleagues but they are your second family. At the end of the day it gives you satisfaction knowing you made a different to the customers. The challenging part it where the customer gives you few hours to resolve the issue as it pushes you to go extra mile for the given turn around timeframe

Great learning curve as i was constantly moved into different positions within the management team

Currently it is a bit unstable as Steinhoff has taken us over and jobs are being altered and shifted constantly! other than that it is not a bad place to be working in. relationships with colleagues are great . i have learnt 100 x more about the JD group as a whole and this has given me a better perspective on the company and how it operates. i enjoyed all that i was able to put my hand too. the most challenging was how invoicing was done within the company.

Pros: one learns a lot by moving around within the company
Cons: up at 4:30 - traffic - working hours 8 to 4:30 - then long traffic trek home. not pleasant.
