Iveco South Africa Reviews

Very disjointed company - different department s report to Italy - no structure

Long hours, very disjointed - customer care very difficult because local managers dependant on bosses overseas for decisions. Systems mostly manual - SAP system implemented last year - not adapted for wholesale and retail like we are doing. Local decisions making non existent. Capital borrowed from mother company at very high rates The R800 million investment in a plant was done based on incorrect data - big burden on current employees to lift volume - how ever very little investment in Sales channels. Units older than 1 year constituted 55% of inventory when I started - today down to 29%. - still very high. Every 24 months a new MD arrives to rescue the company

Pros: The investment in SA seemed to indicate commitment to Africa
Cons: Long working hours , purely result measured - no consideration from where you start
