Excellent learning curve

I work in a fast paced environment, were my day is spent helping people . You need to be a people orientated person who enjoys working with people . I learnt that team work is very important if a department is to succeed. Without team work you unable to function 100% as a department . The most challenging part of my job , dealing with different personality that work in a workforce

Number of skills in writing, how to use photo copying machines and how to interview people.

I am Sandisiwe Ntlemeza, I have a Diploma in Public Relations Management. I am currently working as an intern journalist at the Cape Argus newspaper. I have gathered a number of skills whilst working as a multimedia journalist focusing on print media and online. I am able to use Microsoft and Adobe premium pro. I have an experience on Admin and data capturing. I am a quick learner who can absorb new ideas and can communicate clearly and effectively. I am also enthusiastic and proud of the work that I do and I am able to take criticism. I would love to share my skills with your publication and learn other valuable skills from it.

Learning about Creditors

I am a hard, dedicated worker who loves my job and is eager to learn and to share my knowledge with everyone. I can work well in a team as well on my own and always meet my deadlines. I do adhere to the payroll protocol and procedures as they are good guidelines to follow.

Fast learner

In our department, we are four graphic designers who service the whole independent group, Gauteng, Durban and CapeTown. I do the graphic solutions for 15 news papers under the Inedendent group. The requirements are information graphics, Illustrations, Maps, branding, creative layout and design services. Developing advertisements, brochures, pamphlets, logo’s, stationary design, certificates, transparencies, posters, brochures, pamphlets, training manuals, annual report and various other publications, both for print and on line. Managing the staff and resources to ensure a professional product which Adheres to the company policies.

Pros: I have worked as an Acting Graphic editor, while my manager was on maternity leave
Cons: I work until the work is done

Great learning experience

High pressure Great relationship with co-works Great learning experience in terms of being exposed to other areas as well eg, payroll and HR I enjoy working with numbers My only challenge is having to work alone no assistance with month end therefore i must always be available.

Pros: very flexible working envirnment

To work in a team and persevere

My typical day is work is overwhelming as everyday is different. I try and bring in new clients on a daily basis, at the same time re-visit old ones. I love working in a team and working towards a monthly target and facing challenges of deadlines. I have learnt how to be diverse and can relate to many people on different levels. I enjoy reaching my target and reaping the rewards. The most challenging aspects of my job is winning the client over and having them to advertise in our publication.

Pros: Right now we are facing retrenchment
Cons: You have to make you 40 calls per day

Learning about Creditors

I am employed by Independent NP in the Payroll Department as a Payroll Officer I have gained knowledge and understanding the protocol and procedures of Payroll while I was employed by Media24. I am highly self motivated, reliable and responsible person and can work well under pressure within a team or by myself. I have the ability to prioritize the work to meet the deadlines.

Pros: deliver accurate reliable news create employment adverts placed in newspapers are helping company reach its potential market however now consumers are turning to internet or digital and thst is disadvantage for newspaper companies
Cons: work hours from 8-4:3 work weekends only when its monthend also long hours month end
