Hearing Aid Labs Reviews

Pleasant working environment

I interact with our patients on a daily basis while managing the appointments and ensuring they feel at ease when arriving for their consultations. The administration work regarding each appointment involves the receipting of cash or liaising with the medical aids to ensure that all required documentation is submitted and all claims are processed and paid. I report all operations and finances to Head Office on a daily basis as well as maintaining the database and Point of Sales system. I ensure that all incoming stock, both stock for resale and those for repairs, are captured on our system and I conduct a stock take every Friday. Hearing Aid Labs have broadened my knowledge of Medical Aids and working in the Medical field.

Pros: Dealing with a variety of people and cultures
Cons: No opportunity for growth

Excellent Learning curve

My typical work day hours is 9h00 - 17h00 - but I get to work at 7h30 and start getting ready for the day. I get along well with the other branch secretaries, managers, HR and Dispatch I have learned a lot about Medical Aid claims, submissions and procedures plus a lot about hearing aids and hearing improvement products The thing I enjoyed the most is meeting a wide variety of clients/patients and seeing the joy in their faces when they can hear again. The most challenging job is till date to keep everyone happy - clients and co-workers and we all are different.

Pros: Experience
Cons: Long hours, No overtime pay or gratitude

No learning cuvre

Work days can be interesting but are slow and they are boring and not intellectually stimulating. I work well with my admin lady with few bumps in our work relationship. On the technical side of things work can sometimes be a challenge but again not very stimulating as it is very repetitive. Having patience is a must

Pros: Elderly people have a great sense of humour
Cons: No growth as there are only two employees in each practice
