A typical working day requires me to Plan ahead , Check contractors performance index and Job Quality, maintain balance between deliverable's costs, time and quality. Working relations allows me to do managerial presentations on monthly basis, manage costs and schedule performance.

Great working environment.

Harmony Gold has provided me with more than the training I needed to become a fully qualified artisan. Harmony Gold is a company that represents unity amongst employees and an interest in the lives of employees however, promotion opportunities are minimal and remuneration is not satisfactory for the work load and long hours worked

No housing for employees.

Overall a great mine to work on, accept that they don't have housing(I sleep in the changehouse as a Shift Boss).Worker compliments is a mess(always shortages).

Pros: Great opportunity to study.
Cons: Long working hours and no housing.

Mine health and safety Act. ISO 14001 EMS implementation and water quality analysis.

I am an Environmental practitioner in the mining industry. I have previously worked for Harmony Gold at Doornkop Operations as an Environmental Intern for the past two years. I have knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 requirements and also did a short course of ISO 14001 implementation of Environmental Management Systems. I know all NEMA related legislation.

Pros: Good at monitoring environmental impacts
Cons: I sometimes over work myself.

Large field of knowledge, understanding and overview in mining/engineering during my career path.
