It's a slowly improving company

Woking at Grundfos is tough because of the high customer demands whole the capacity doesn't allow the rate of which products needs to be completed. Working there I have learnt to be a critical thinker and also a cautious person in order to keep every one happy especially the clients.

We are a team that works well together, Honest, reliable and supportive .In my time with the organization i have learnt that we can be different and when you set a goal as a team you will achieve it. as a team we were able to achieve all deadlines e this is something you not always achieve. Outside work i like to spend time with family, family is important to me as . Having to keep a company on hold due to non payment is never simple, we build a relationship with them and when they do not meet their commitments is hard to say No,

SSA Director of Engineering

Everyday is not exactly the same, however i am in charge of ensuring medium to long term budgets are set and to ensure the execution of strategies in line with these targets. There are many sub-strategies set and I have to ensure in line with people management that the targets are met. I have to ensure the departments are structured correctly to compete and that we are within budget of operation across Sub Saharan Africa. I have put theory into practice from both my engineering and business studies. And the challenges are dealing with rate of exchanges and politcal challenges in the various countries out of our control that affect the business.

Wonderful company to work for

I worked in a great environment in the Service Department. I ran the Field Service team, did counter sales of spares. Booked in pump repairs and kept the customers updated. I quoted spares for all Grundfos Pumps and am proficient in SAP and CRM.

Pros: A lot of learning opportunities

Excellent place for growing into a pump technology specialist

Achievements: The events covered taught me the importance of pump and motor machining, maintaining, manufacturing or re-machining. The main lesson I cultured was that every process/step requires consistency and precision to eliminate any errors that might occur. Skills Acquired: Basic welding Machining fitting and turning Interpretation of technical drawings Water treatment Safety Measures Rotary Systems Maintenance and Fault tracing. It terms of the people, I would like to express in system words. The energy they give out drove into becoming a better analytical engineer.

Cons: 8 hours a day, two 15minutes breaks and 30minutes lunch

Ineffective management.

Ineffectual, inexperienced management has resulted in power structures that have hindered service, efficiency & productivity. There is no intelligent streamlining of processes nor lateral thinking. Autocratic management.
