Working at FedEx
Working at FedEx allows me to work a different day every day, there is never time to be bored. I work with a passionate team who always gives their best. I get on really well with all of them, which creates synergy. My personality allows me to forge excellent relationships with people and I try to treat everyone I meet with respect, be it the CEO or the tea lady. I have learnt to be tough and resilient and respectful of other peoples cultures as I work at a global company that is represented worldwide. The most challenging part of my job is juggling 7 to 8 projects at once and staying on top of things.

Acquired great global exposure
Excellent company to work for. Great opportunities, people friendly and helpful. Every day was a pleasure going to work. A great deal achieved over the years, as company always provided us with training all year round. Management and well as co-workers were friendly, helpful and understanding to every employer. Everything within me job was exciting and challenging. my most enjoyable part, was the time I was offered a position within 3PL (ODA Coordinating)

▪ Accurately tariff products and prepare ▪ Bill of Entry for SARS Follow up on Compu-Clear regarding SARS release of shipment ▪ Assist clients with applications for VDN, tariff rulings and determinations. ▪ Maintain a product library per client’s portfolio of products SARS tariff book has to be updated continuously on receipt of updates received from various suppliers Implement and improve on quality systems applicable to framing of bills of entries. ▪ Liquidate and follow up on all relevant Provisional Payments Follow up on all relevant SARS stop notes until finalized. Prepare Voucher of Corrections as and when needed Assist clients with all customs related issues. ▪ Provide support to channel controllers. ▪ Develop and maintain a good working relationship with SARS Assist other departments with customs related matters as and when required.

Multi skilled
- Working in a fast paced, pressurized environment. Multi tasking day to day, ensuring that all customers needs are met, both internal and external. Leading and managing a team of 61 employees whilst making sure Operations run smoothly with employees having adequite knowledge and system to perform their duties with speed, passion, can do spririts and getting things right first time. - I have leant that in todays corporate world, you need to be 20% manager and 80% leader. - I enjoy being rewarded for hard work done - Needing to see to 4 departments prevents me from having focus on certain issues. its challenging being pulled in all areas.

Great experience
Typical day at FedEx, sort parcels according to destinations e.g.domestic or international and then scan them into the YES system and work on them by calling the clients and confirming information on the parcels and telling them when we are going to deliver . Successful parcels are placed on Excel to show the manager how many parcels for the month were successful then take them out for delivery.

Relocation
