Excellent learning experience with good exposure to big clients.
A typical work day includes doing workbooks based on the work allocation. I always have a fantastic relationship with my team and they can come to me for help at any time. I have learnt alot of accounting,finance, tax and auditing which has allowed me to become confident at my work. I enjoyed understanding the work the most as it helps grasp my interest. The most challenging was the move from a 1st year to a 2nd year as it required alot of work but I was able to so it and now have progressed well as a third year.
Pros: It is an excellent place to work with an amazing work culture and an excellent program for teaching trainees.

Excellent learning
I'm a hard worker, and have learned a lot within the company, EY is home I can say the relationship with colleagues is just beyond the love and respect, caring, loving, supportive. EY is a company that does not choose people in terms of culture it is a diversity and inclusiveness company

Diligent and hardworking
Currently employed as an audit manager at Ernst & Young within financial services division and managing well known clients who specialize in asset management, investment banking and treasury functions. Previously employed as Specialist at Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Treasury Capital Management at ABSA Capital. My duties included month on month analysis of factors that influence the monthly movements on risk weighted assets (RWA) in accordance with Basel 3 requirements within the CIB markets business. Monthly preparing of the different return matrices that the different desks within CIB Markets business are contributing to the overall CIB business.

Division has lost the people element.
Ive played an intricate role with mentoring the new PAs as the FS Division grew from 14 to 24 Partners. Extensive diary management and travel Network in the Firm and teamwork Back office has to function effectively whilst Partners are at clients. Level of trust I've built with my Partners and reliability that every task is actioned with accuracy and quality output. Learn from every challenge and take the good from it and keep a positive attitude.

Excellent in adding value and improving an organisation's operation.
My typical day involves planning for the day including the engagement I will be undertaking, such as understanding the current process one will be auditing. Preparing the audit file and creating of working papers. A meeting with the team / co-workers is set to brainstorm and to assign each other particular sections within the process that one will be involved in. I have learnt that team work goes a long way and that we are most likely to finish earlier and to be efficient if one is working within a team. I enjoy being a part of a team that is united and always strive to succeed. The most challenging aspect is meeting difficult client due to one's budgeted time to complete a process is prolonged.
