Can work under pressure
I am currently working for Dischem as a Data Capturer. I have been working in Customer Service for the past 13 years, with a range of activities and responsibilities, all in which I have acquired skills and talents. My C.V. outlines them comprehensively. I am aptly qualified in the practical/technical domain & in applying my expertise to the environment. I am confident with my organizational, planning, co–ordination, administrative and time management abilities and skills. I am an exceptional communicator with a love for people and interaction. Dynamic, energetic, very expressive and direct in my communication and approach. I pride myself with the fact that I pay particular care to detail and execute my tasks very diligently. I’m a go getter and self-starter, with a desire for self-development environment, but I now realize that it needs to be extended to theory as well.

Daily duties
One of my daily duties is reporting to the pharmacist incharge. Dealing with customers face to face dispensing medicine and helping with medicine over the counter for common illnesses. We also take orders over the phone. Process the orders for delivery or collection. As a pharmacist assistant we also receive stock and make sure there is no expired stock on the shelves. The duties are basically anything in a pharmacy that a pharmacist assistant can do. I've done and learn everything and I'm ready for a new challenge. Everything I do I do with pride, I have good health and I'm always willing to learn. I learn fast and I don't dissepoint.

My daily duties at the pharmacy
At Dischem we like to work face to face with customers. In order to give them the time and attention they need. Every customer should walk away feeling better already with the excellent service and saving I have given them that day. We also work with customers over the phone taking orders dispensing scripts and getting that order out for delivery or collection. At the pharmacy we also deal with alot of discrepancies and unhappy customers. None the least I always make sure the customer leaves the store feeling better with a smile. My duties also includes looking after the stick making sure we don't have expired stock on the shelf. Sometimes also reserving stock fridge items and normal items from our warehouse or Cj,s. From reseaving to packing the stock on the shelf. Helping the customer reading and dispensing medicine, dealing with discrepancies taking telephone orders and getting delivery's out is some of many duties I have a day.

Good experience
A typical day at dischem would be me sitting at the front desk announcing over the intercom the store is now open then my day starts with the busy switchboard ringing non stop,customers wanting dischem cards,customers wanting baby bags,linking customers to different programs,assisting customers, calling customers, and the list goes on. Then my colleagues they were wonderful to work with always kind, loving and they were always there when u needed them. I also learnt how to work with different types of people nice ones,difficult ones then there was always a few that just wanted to make your day miserable but at the end of the day I didn't let the difficult ones spoil my day. I enjoyed it when we went for training then I met all the receptionists from all the dischem stores that was great. I really enjoyed working there.

It's an excellent learning curve and a very exiting and fulfilling professional space to work in.
I'm a great team player who enjoys her work and I take any challenge, frustrations and new experiences as a learning curve. I look forward to going to work daily because my co-workers are also as dedicated as I am and we get along very well trying to make our space as comfortable as possible and also giving our best excellent service that we can.
Pros: It is great space to work and fulfilling because I think we giving back to the society by dispensing their medication and giving the best counseling and advice about their illnesses and prescribing medication for their illnesses according to our scope of practice
Cons: Yes long working hours is a big deal and sometimes difficult customers and again shortage of stock from suppliers.

Big company
Big corporate company. A little disappointed in Salary package. Long hours. Public holidays are compulsory. Always exhausted. I love making friends with the customers, meeting new people and talking to the doctor.
