Department of Infrastructure Development Reviews

Goood exposure

working at the Department of infrastructure development was the most beautiful to start my career. I worked mostly with the MEC's office, HOD's and DDG''s and other co-workers, my colleagues were amazing, well all worked together and were all from different directorates. I enjoyed traveling and organising for the department. I have learnt to solve conflict management, time management and breaking barriers to entry. the most challenging was having to attended more than 10 events in one day, but manage to juggle every challenge

Pros: good exposure
Cons: Alter Schedule

Great exposure to the working environment, to provide the needed working experience.

Arrive in the morning, check my emails. Plan out what deliverables need to be completed and start designing according to the most urgent. Consult my concepts with my supervisor and finalise the designs there after. Attend internal events as a photographer to document what the department is up to where the images are later used for our weekly newsflash to keep all staff up to date. Further responsibilities include; designing social media skins, bereavement notices, monthly campaign posters, intranet banners and our weekly publication.

Pros: Great work/Life Balance
Cons: Little Growth
