I am now more organised and able to meet deadlines.
i have grown as an individual and professionally, my budgeting skills have improved greatly , i now work so much better with people chance i have to work with different individuals on a daily basis. i am pleased with the experience i have acquired, chance my i get the opportunity to do tasks that are above my working at the department o that rare above my level
Pros: having the opportunity to aquire the skills that I have aquired has really hepled me personnaly and professionally, one is always learning hance we are not limited to the tasks at hand. we are provided with the opportunity to do task that are above our levels which i believe is an added advantage.
Cons: there is no recognision for growth hance have been in one position for over 7 years

My experience
I am the Deputy Director: Procurement. I manage the request for quotation unit, request for tenders unit and contract management. I am responsible for 18 team members. My relationship with my co - workers is good and i interreact well with senior managers of the Department. I have eleven years experience in Procurement and i have learnt to develop policies, processes and delegations I enjoy to assist in service deliver to the community. Working in Procurement, there is always a challenge, the sector is highly regulated and you have to be careful for corruption activities.
Pros: The work is challenging but is good for service delivery.
Cons: Working under presuure.

Great learning opportunity
Our scope of work was based on primary animal health care and it entailed the following: humane teaching to farmer and training on basic farming skills, basic diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, postmortems.
Pros: Great exposure
Cons: We dealt with a huge range of species I would have loved to focus on one or two

Opportunity to reach full potential
Quick check of emails To laboratory to prepared work for the day. Start up instrumentation. Weigh the prepared batch of samples. Start analysis. Return to office and sort out administration work. Weigh more samples. Assist other colleagues who may need help. Data capture and check results. If going to the field dress up with proper workwear. Travel to field trial site. Perform tasks required for the field trial eg spraying of weed killer. Depends on the duration of field tasks, may return to office and perform lab work and administration or change and leave for home.
Pros: Working with scientists who have extensive knowledge of agriculture
Cons: Very difficult to progress and move up the ladder.

Learning and implementing new ideas of technology
-configuration of computers and laptops -installation and troubleshooting of transversal systems and printers -technical support to users,joining computers to domain -configuration of emails -work on digital pens ... I'm able to work under pressure to reach my daily or work targets as per directed. I'm patients and reliable to all workers.
Pros: Promotion will be in terms of targets
Cons: Long working hours are normal at my company as characterized by distance of working areas .

Granted opportunity for growth as Graduates
Working with extension officers is an easy thing, they are loving and caring, they are passionate and love seeing people around them grow. I had a good working relationship with my mentors in and outside work. My duturs included traveling to farmers to give them Agricultural advice, conducts training, sit in war rooms and link farmers with appropriate market l.
Pros: I loved gaining experience in working under pressure especially during M&E sittings

Good learning experience
A typical week at my work place includes dealing with emerging farmers, teaching them way to farm and how to have access to the commercial sector. We skill them on how to plant and grow their produce for the market, assist growers to attain financial assistance in order to grow their business.
