Looking for challenge, and change of scenario

Currently in the working in the Distribution, Supply and Manufacturing of Woundcare High Risk Infection Control Ostomy and Incontinence medical products. In charge of the company quotations, contracts administration tenders and price files, responsible for registration of organistation with relavent bodies and renewing of subscriptions and monitoring regulations with relavent statutory governing bodies.

Pros: Exposed to all Government health institutions within nine provinces and assisting with their ordering systems and movement of their inventory and placing orders as well as resolving their contracts Queries

Excellent learning curve

I HAVE BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS.MY MAIN TASK IS TO ENSURE THAT ALL SAFETY ASPECTS ARE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIME S AS STIPULATED IN THE OHS ACT.TO ENSURE THAT ALL INCIDENTS ARE INVESTIGATED AND RECOMMENDATIONS IMPLEMENTED.TO ENSURE THAT ALL EMPLOYEES UNDERSTAND THE CULTURE OF LEARNING AND RESPECTING EACH OTHER IN TERMS OF SAFETY REGULSTIONS.THEIR CO-ORDINATION IN TERMS OF SAFETY CULTURE IS THE POSITIVE RESPOND OF IMPLEMENTING AND UNDERSTANDING 'BROTHERS KEEPER'.THE MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IS WHEN YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH ISSUES OF SAFETY VERSUS PRODUCTION WHICH YOU SHOULD ALWAYS EMPHESISE THE IMPORTANCE OF RESPECT AND TOLLERENCE IN TERMS OF SAFETY ISSUES.

Pros: The positive part is that you will learn the technique of dealing with different people which will inspire you to learn more and prosper in terms of your career.
Cons: working long hur and responding to emergencies is one of the challenges that is faced when dealing with contsruction industry.

Hi Technology,working with the latest technology and patches, Operating Systems .

I am an innovative IT engineer with great Software troubleshooting skills. I have 3-4 years of experience within the IT industry.I am in charge of an upgrading Windows OS from 7 and 8 to Windows 10. I also troubleshoot Laptop and Desktop hardware, order new part for replacement. I communicate with local and remote users as we work on a help desk system. The help desk helps to keep track of issues users face and trace SLA. I have learnt to think quick in decision making in resolving users issues. I also troubleshoot LAN (cabling, tracing and routing) WAN and VPN for remote users. My Coworkers really trust my decision making as I have resolved most requests assigned to me. I really enjoy troubleshooting software request, as its very challenging and most of of this requests are high importance. I have helped with implementing Dropbox,One Drive. I am one of the trusted in my team as I was their first Intern.

Great experience gained

Currently unemployed due to retrenchment. Working for Consolidated Power Projects was a wonderful blessing. Management treated staff with a great deal of respect.

Storeman

Seven years experience working as storeman,my main job is to receiving stock and checked it before signing delivery notes,checking include damage stock,right stock as expected and right quantity issuing of tools also inspection of tools and replacing of damage tools ,ordering of shortage of material before any description of work or production keeping general housekeeping of storage area also maintenance of of all safety signage Keep good communication with team and keep them informed with what is right equipment or tools to use in terms of safty. And report any shortage or description of work to supervisor

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Overtime also worked

Excellent work place

Conco as its known to all the staff members is a home away from home, we have a good pool of experienced colleagues . in my area of work which is Treasury a normal week we process payments to the value of 100 to 150 million Rand this consist of our creditors, travelling, site expenses, inter company transfers , plus plan cards. we deal with the salary payments. your SARS payments. over month end this is extremely high pressured environment, we do the month end recons and all the bank queries. most changeling part of the job is ensuring that the guarantees gets issued correctly from the banks in time. and when tendering for a project we could work a 14 to 16 hour day to the greatest time is when we are awarded a project that we tendered for. as the whole team is involved from the tender co coordinator the Business unit manger , tender committee, treasury , therefore it takes the entire team to ensure that we meet the targets and get the job

Pros: i have seen people evolve here at Conco - we have started a intern program as well

A lot was learned

My time at Consolidated Power Projects has arguably been the best time of my working experience. I have learned so much from my seniors and I would do it again if need be. My growth in the industry was certainly mentored and developed from the rough and has since been polished to exceptional standards. I am happy to have been a part of such a great team.

Fast learning

I am currently working as project engineer, I manage projects from inception to completion. I manage the construction teams from supervisor to linesmen (28 people). I have a very good relationship with my colleagues, we share ideas and experience on our different projects to try and empower each other. I have learnt to relay massage and to solve problems timelessly. I enjoy the challenge of my job which keeps on my toes all the time and the problem solving, managing stakeholders and clients. But mostly to deliver projects as per the clients request, within budget.

Pros: Very high rate of learning new things and facing challenges.
Cons: Working long hours and managing a lot of subcontactors and employees.
