Learning opportunities

The company in itself is a great place to learn about not only auditing but finance in general, including tax, accounting and even b-bbee. The training officer gives you a chance to put into practise what you have learned in school before rushing in and doing it for you, or holding your hand while you complete a task, this makes learning a lot more exciting as you have a chance to be independent and be responsible for your own training and growth.

Pros: Great place to learn, no hand holding you are given the opportunity to learn and try and figure things yourself
Cons: Strict Contract

Below average

Not happy as there's much Afrikaans speaking which hinders the performance of my duties. On a scale of 1-10. It's 2/10. No clear criteria/standard of rating. Work is rated based on others opinions but there's no formal bases used to rate.

Pros: It's the opportunity I formally studied for
Cons: I did not fit in because of the language barrier

Not the best career move

Constantly in an environment where language is a barrier as everyone speaks Afrikaans and am an English speaker. On a scale of 1-10, it's 2/10 There's also no clear basis for rating performance, other than the opinions of others.

Pros: It's the opportunity I formally studied for
Cons: I did not fit in because of the language barrier
