Clover south africa Reviews

Great learning opportunities

Clover is a good company to work for, if you work with the correct people. The company mainly focuses on management which means the lower level employees are left behind. There is not much place for growth but there is a lot to learn. The best part of the job is working with my immediate supervisor, as he is an incredible individual. The team I work with are great at what they do. Dispatching of trucks are our main focus but it varies from day to day. I have learnt to work as a team, but also that you should not wait for others. It just seems unfair to be working 23 twelve-hour shifts for R 10 000. The company mostly expects sacrifices but they are not willing to do the same. Overtime is not paid, and when it is queried, you are told to just accept it. The company has many negatives and many positives.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn
Cons: Working hours do not reflect on the pay

Great starter posision

I started at the call centre at Clover in 2007, was promised promotions for hard work, all I need to do us to apply. 12 years later, I am still in the same position, but have received a lot of training in what I do. Recent re-structuring in my department has left me longing for a new adventure, with new learning opportunities. A typical work day includes handling incoming calls as well as making outgoing calls, handling customer complaints. There is very little time in the day for a break, be prepared for that.i have a very good relationship with co-workers, and I have learnt a lot about working with people.

Pros: A great stepping stone for job experience
Cons: No or very little chance of promotion
