Great team to learn from. Unfortunately do not get paid market related

My typical day is making sure my backups successfully ran the night before and then catching up on all current work I am busy with and attending to new tickets. I work with 5 great team players who I have learnt so much through the years and really consider them family. The company has a family feel to where everybody knows everyone and everyone is polite and take an interest not only work but personal as well. Apart from why I am experienced in i have also learnt alot from the IBM ERP system that my company users and how it works within the company and our warehouse. WhT I enjoy most is working with the guys I do because they make it so easy and enjoyable and everyone is willing to help everyone. Mos challenging aspect would be dealing with difficult customers... But i have learnt that if you are able to ensure them that you are doing your utmost to assist them and keep them in the loop constantly then everyone is on the same page all the time.

Excellent learning skill

I have learnt that you must be multitask and learn to make your job easier by work smart not hard especially when under pressure.Keep your customers happy by giving them the best service and attract them by expanding your business.Not being afraid to lose improves your strategy to win and be successful

Multi skilled

However you need to be multi skilled to work in different departments & being on your feet for long hours. The salary is pathetic & we got no annual increase. If you wanna become permanent then you have to be a "favourite or lick ass" as they say it. No long term future as people work here 20 plus years in one position.

I've learnt & experienced a lot

Managed to learn a lot in a short space of time. Was able to help the company clear up a huge backlog of tickets and jobs that were overdue. I worked well with the colleagues. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the company.

Pros: Very easy to get along with colleagues
Cons: The distance to travel from home to work visaversa

Exposure

Bookstore has exposed me to so many things in the HR field I have dealt with everything from submitting leave for forms to disciplinary hearings , performance reviews , planning Wellness days as well as organising the annual your in functions.
