Awesome learning experience

It is appalling working with people of different beliefs and back grounds and for one common goal. Our day begins with motivational talks and brain storms of how we can improve on the previous flaws or mishaps. Everyone gets a chance to speak out what does not make them happy about others to maintain a steady working relationship with all the co workers. I have learned that every contribution of each and every subordinate is vital in the work place hence it is important to be open minded all the time as a leader or as a team player. I enjoy mostly giving excellent customer service to all the clients and listening to them express their comments of appreciation. I also enjoy seeing targets and goals of the organization being reached to their utmost levels, it makes me feel vital and motivated. The most challenging aspect of the job could be between the manager,s interests and that of clients because as customer service agent you have to make tough choices in such instances.

Excellent learning curve, good with team work and great communication skills.

A typical day at bolton is to take pictures of all the new shoes for the season make sure everything is correct, edited and ready to be uploaded onto the websites. Some times there are times where graphic design comes into play for poster or banners or even a catalog. I work great with my colleagues we understand each other we help each other out when needed . Working here at bolton has helped me grow as a designer, a photographer and i have also learned a few things in the marketing area. I truly enjoy working with the people in the building very nice friendly and keen to help out. the company i work at is near to my home so that is an advantage. the most challenging part is to make sure all the photography is done before the sales guys take the samples to go sale the shoes that gives me a very narrow time period to make sure I have captured everything before the time.

Pros: Working close to home and the working hours are not that bad
Cons: no place for growth in this company

Good exposure

I have a hectic workday, where I have to sit behind the computer and enter data, and finalise reports for executives. I have a good relationship interpersonally with my colleagues but when it comes to effective communication to get the work done there is a lack. Teamwork is a bit compromised. I have learnt to pay the greatest attention to detail as my Costing work requires. I enjoy compiling reports for the management. It makes mee feel like I am part of the executive. The most challenging aspect is gathering / obtaining the info so I can compile my reports.

Pros: At the centre of the business
Cons: Too much workload

Understand customer service and sales (daily targets,turnover and stock loss).

What I like about my position is working with dedicated people, people that understand customer service and sales (daily targets,turnover and stock loss).

Pros: Reaching targets and giving customer a good service so that they can come back to eaten the growth of the company
Cons: Am able to work long hours

Great exposure to import, exporting and development

iThe typical work day , would be following up on any any open orders, invoicing, sales figures etc.... Agents and any querries that are unresolved and need my assistance. Liasing with suppliers on new developments, price negotiations and expected delivery times and dates. Keeping intouch with key accounts to maintain a steady relationship and flow of product to ensure no one loses out on income opportunities. Fellow colleagures were a good team and we would well together. Daily challenges were bottlenecks in the factory affecting orders and deliveries thereof , cancellations, exchange rate fluctuations ...

Pros: great exciting environment
Cons: promotions were hard to come by

I feel that I can take on a new challenge and I am more than willing to learn

Life at Bolton Footwear was very hectic and busy. Phones rang continously and eventhough there were lunch and tea breaks...I usually sat at my desk to work and eat simultaneously. Customers got irratated when the phone was not answered.Biggest challenge was that our superiors didnt really address the everyday challengers we faxed. I feel the workers who do the work should be able to voice their complaints so that issues can be attended to and therefore run an effecient department.

Pros: I am effecient enough if proper tools are available and ready to use
Cons: I work long hours but must be paid

Ability to work long hours from 7:35-16:45 working an amazing team

Amazing team members, exciting photo shoots, dealing with clients to meet same objectives Working long hours to achieve goals and objectives. The ability to work in a healthy environment where team members are willing to assist and help out wwhere necessary

Excellent learning place

It's an excellent place to learn more about customers their needs and wants. A place to interact with different people ,their behaviors and attitudes. It's a place field with opportunities ,for someone willing to be persistent long enough.(Lol) I guess I'm not that person that's the reason I'm writing this review. I love serving people, that's the first and last reason I'm still holding on to (BOLTON FOOTWEAR) my company.

Exposure into extensive payroll function

I have obtained my Btech in HRM. Subsequently, I have experience which is not limited to, recruitment and selection, industrial relations, payroll function, change management, training and development, project management, formulation and implementation of policies and procedures, employee relations and reporting.
