Good duat goi have woorked with BDO for more than 5 years and i got retrenched after working them for more than 5 years i am currently unemployed and looking for a job i have my own transport and available immediately

Excellent learning curve

My experience in the Risk Management Department has given me the ability to identify opportunities and possible threats to an organisation. By looking at various scenarios to capitalize on those opportunities and to mitigate against possible threats. Which is an essential investment for the future sustainability of any organisation. My role has been one of the most exciting and interesting discipline in the business world today. It’s not an easy concept to understand, it’s the challenge to share and transfer knowledge, to empower others and to assist them to identify uncertainty and translate those uncertainties into acceptable talking points.

A definite challenge

Working at BDO has been a definite challenge for me as I came from Multichoice, a media company which is totally different. Working for BDO has it daily challenges with constant deadline driven work. It has taught me a lot and helped me grow as an individual

It's been a great learning and development curve. A bit challenging at times but manageable.

It's been a great learning curve; quite challenging at times but manageable. There are long hours which can't always be claimed. All in all, I did not find it easy to adapt to the culture and way of doing things as I find the structure quite lacking. This has been the most challenging aspect for me as there is hardly any uniformity in how things are done and policies lacking in providing clear guidance which is quite funny as the company prides itself in being clear and even has a "clarity charter".

Smaller firm so good exposure to many sectors

Auditing is demanding by its nature due to the deadlines, but it also provides for a good learning environment. The fellow trainees are the best part of the job as you get to meet many different people from different backgrounds. The greatest skill learnt is how to run an audit and work with a team in order to achieve a common goal. The best part of the job was learning from so many different individuals. The work hours and deadlines are the most challenging

Very night pressure. Stressful a tight audit deadlines Great way to develop people skills since I deal with people everyday and from different backgrounds
