Excellent learning curve

Having a routine job criteria good learning experience but feel isolated to not communicated with outside department employees and not always getting an honest answer when asking for information other then communicated via company news.

Pros: Good learning experience can be promoted
Cons: You must have family or close friends to watch your back and make a way for you to be promoted

Working for Moolmans

Dear Reader, I am very dedicated and get involved with all aspects of a site to ensure making targets safely and within budget. I get along with the majority of my co-workers and I am able to resolve conflicts if they start to influence the efficiency of the site.

Pros: Stable working environment
Cons: Low chance of developing myself further

Excellent company to work for.

A typical work day starts at 05:45 an ends 16:00. Overall good relationship with co-workers. Learnt a lot about the mining sector and earth moving equipment. Moolmans is an excellent company to work for - we braai on some Fridays for team spirit. Most challenging aspects of working for Moolmans is working on weekends, public holidays and sometimes on odd hours when there is a breakdown you must go to site in the middle of the night.

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Working on weekends and on public holidays(Christmas/ New years)

Working with Aveng

Being employed at AVENG Moolmans was a privilege and I am grateful that I could start my BA Environmental Management degree through them. Sadly I decided to resign due to the lack of career opportunities within the company even though I had the qualifications, skill and experience for other positions.

Pros: Challenging work at times, which I thoroughly enjoyed
Cons: Lack of career development

Excellent

I am an energetic person, not afraid to work under pressure, willing to relocate, work as a team and willing to learn. The company i'm working for it has to me a lot that safety is the first priority in whatever you do. Love your fellow wokers as much as you love yourself
