AON desire to establish a fair environment for all staff by adequately compensating them

It helped me to grow as a person in my work and gain exprience in the commercial world. I enjoy my work place because we are one and we work as team and in the best interest of company.

Pros: Great benefits and a workplace that is fun and dedicated to making customers happy all fit in with the AON's approach to company culture
Cons: Average government salaries are competitive with the private and nonprofit sectors. Pay can also increase fairly quickly for top candidates with strong education and experience

Excellent learning curve

It was such a good experience where you get to learn about different products that the busines offer to their clients We used to work 8 hours per day (normal hours) The relationship with co-workers was good you get to know everyone in the office because of the name tags in their desks I learned to build a strong relationship with the colleagues What I enjoy the most is functions that takes place The most challenging aspects are when you are questioned as to why you didn't meet the target

I am very passionate about my work

I am 8 years & 5 months at Aon, Currently I am an internal consultant and deal with our clients per telephone calls or email. I worked for a medical scheme for 20 years. I was an external consultant for 4 and now I missed the interaction with clients. I am a team player and help my colleagues where I can. At Aon we have a lot of in house training on Medical Schemes & Gap Covers. We also have a CRM system that we use to load Queries and do quotations for clients

Pros: My current employer allows us to study further
Cons: Sometimes clients can be difficult and you need to calm them down before continuing with the query

My typical Day

My day starts of with a check in with my team, understand if there is any challenges for the day and how I can assist them to ensure we meet our deadlines. My relationship with my team and co-workers is open and honest. I have learnt resilience as it is challenge to lead people and ensure there is balance within the team. My enjoyment is strategic planning and then seeing campaign come to life with the most exciting being the results.

Cons: Global dependency for implementing some campaigns

Excellent growth point

I work well within a team so it's a great environment that I work in as there's a lot of team spirit and love for work, so much motivation and positive vibes which makes work a bit easier when days are tough and work gets hectic. Overall I like working at a welcoming environment cause it makes everyone's lives easy.
