Excellent learning curve

The hours was very long, from Monday to Friday working ten hours straight plus on Saturday. No support from management. working with the staff was amazing we had to help ourselves in learning the products and new systems. The staff support each other every day with no help from management.

Excellent company

I love Aon. Just wish there was more opportunity to grow and that there was not so much work. I feel that it is stressful but the remuneration is good but that you do work hard for every cent. I am a loyal employee and hope that Aon sees that I work hard and am very loyal. Aon does treat me with respect but as I memtioned, I do feel overworked most times but love the Aon brand and the people. Aon is a great place to work just wish there were more people to do the work so that I wouldn't have to feel so overwhelmed and stressed out. Being in a broker role means that there's a lot of pressure to service the clients 100% well and more if need be, not an easy requirement.

Pros: Great international company to work for with excellent benefits.
Cons: Loads of work to do.

Exemplary execution skills

High-paced environment, exciting and rewarding place to work. I have had exceptional people skills that was done by MBWA (management by walk about - GEMBA). Working for an Insurance Intermediary is challenging, and rather different from that of an Insurer. If offered a different perspective of client requirements, and compressed margins due to the highly regulated changing environment. IT implementation and system integration aligned with my vision for standardization, and was comforting as I saw this unfold during the execution. Being a large itermediary, one quickly learnt to cope with the stresses of multi-product, mutliple LoB's within the South African insurance space.

Pros: Extensive links to most of the South African Insurers
Cons: Bureaucracy due to being a Global Corporate
