It was an excellent job experience

I have a good work experience with the company , we respeted each other and work in teams to do the job fast everyone was participating in a task. The thing that was challenging for me was when we are doing building light on monday because we were walking up and down the whole building so it was better to check plant rooms and wiring or to have a project that you must do atleast there there is no up and down you work on your spot and finish the job. I have learn a lot about building maintanance and that you must be a team work to work together is better than being a 1 man. I was enjoing it the most when we are doing wiring .The most challenging was when we are doing change over there we pulled big cables on tunnels .

Love food amd learn and cook new ways

My morning starts at 7 but am in the kitchen by 7.40 to open with the head chef and start taking prep out then waiting for chefs to come . Then i have too get the cleaning staff ready for the day to uphold the kitchen safety and qpro standard everyone then starts, i do hots (proteins)and help everywhere i can. We team of 7 to 8 chefs where am the 2nd in the kitchen after my head chef so am load and work hard.Poeple dont tent like it because i dont like people playing around wen we busy.As i said i love cooking and playing with diets and a la carte ,breakfast and cocktails and braai

Pros: I have work a long time here and loved and hated everything but the thing i do love is the fact that you can move forward by studying
Cons: Long hours little pay and you need to speak and ask for a long time before getting anywhere

Excellent team

It has been a learning curve to me, being introduced to a very loud customer service environment, dealing with a lot of different people. The staff so easy to work with always willing to help where they can, calling each other "the team". Management so easy, to communicate with almost about anything. I enjoy service people the smiles, the pressure, the mentoring I love it. When you long for growth and decisions made in last minutes.

Great development opportunities in the beggining

I do training on average 4 days a week, & the 5th day is my admin day. On my admin day, I print & bind training material, do my weekly trainjng reports catch-up on emails and respond to training requests, I also do marking of assesments, print out certificates & laminate to be issued out.

Pros: The company is over a number of service industries, so room to move and grow
Cons: The company has grown so much, they are loosing the human factor - I am all about people & development

Good experience

I have been multitask .good yearn work.making platter doing STOCK taking. costing functions.i have learnt to cook for many people.the challenge I had was to issue for all the staff and being the lead .what are enjoyed the most is to cook what ever it's on my mind creative and became differ from other dishes.

Pros: Great opportunity for my possition
Cons: Long working hours

They offer good salaries and benefits. Opportunities are there if only you area manager allows the application to go through. Down fall you are contracted to a company and have to follow their policy and procedures as well as your own which can be two totally different things and contradict each other.

Cons: Contracted to a company, sometimes so support from office .

Learning Curve

You learn some thing new almost everyday, we have a lot of different departments that do different things in the business, you learn to understand the type of work that they do helping you direct and assist client in the most effecient way possible. Challengers i have experienced is when some employyes are indisposed and clients refuse to utilise support lines at call centers.

Pros: You learn to be patient, listen to understand, ehances problem solving skills
Cons: Demeaning from clients

Fast learner

Am start working on tsebo as cleaner.I didn't just do my cleaning work only helping back house to cook my manager see that I want to grow she give me a position for cook and take me to the school to learn more I did. I have certificate for cook and chef .After that I found a promotion for being his supervisor.

Pros: Cleaning, cooking,supervising,stock take,receiving stock,making orders and cash up the cashier
Cons: working under pressure
