My name is lawyer makhubane and i am 29 years of age,currently i am working at truworths as service desk consultant..serving customers,opening new accounts and also do follow ups about their odering requests,doing also morning workers whch is filling day before working documents updating our board where u can see our daily targets n monthly targets

Excellent learning curve

It is a very rewarding company with alot of opportunity for growth but you are required to work most weekends. I started as a cashier in Truworths and due to hard work i received a promotion to supervisor.

Learning curve

Working at Truworths has been a great learning experience, especially taking into account the fact that I started working there as a student. I've learned a lot with regards to dealing with situations that involve customers in various ways. How to interact and retain customers and deal with difficult customers as well. Having to take instructions from management regarding certain targets the store wishes to attain like customer service feedback and opening of new accounts. On a day to day basis we deal with various transactions, whether it is customer related queries about their account or a simple purchase of the store's merchandise and customers coming to pay their installments. So I've learnt a great deal from working there, also administrative duties delegated upon by management such as banking to see how we handle our work and other duties as possible growth prospects.

Pros: Great opportunity for someone with a passion for working with people and has fashion sense.
Cons: Long hours and very few off days

Admin,running the store security aweness

I m a hard worker, I do merchandising so that very time the store look visual appealing.I go extra miles a do excellent customer service. I coach and develop people, also conduct trainings.handling money when it go out. Supervise stock when it come in and receive stock.

Pros: to manage bigger stores

Learnt a lot at Truworths customer service excelling on it and obtained whosela and retail learnership nqf level 2 learnership, having good management skills and working good with others team player

Service Desk Consultant

My role in the company is to do many things. It ranges from assisting customers with sales, answering and making calls to and on behalf of customers, i.e account queries. It is also doing basic administrative duties such as receiving and dispatching of customer orders and filing of delivery notes.

Pros: It keeps me busy.
Cons: Constantly being busy wears me out
