Exellent learning curve

Working independently on a first job has allowed me to learn so much in the hardest of ways. The problem comes when you are working under an incompetent manager who expects you to do things the way he wants them to be done, rathermthan how they should be done. A typical work day means doing any duties besides my core duties, regardless of the strain it takes on my overall working perfomance. Working as a face of the company, handling labourers and their issues, reporting to more than one senior who all expect you to live up to their expectations and time frames is not easy. What I enjoy most is meeting up with very resourcesfull people from other organisation as that comes as a nertworking opportunity for a young enterpreneur like myself.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn how to run a business. exposure to different areas of business
Cons: No work flow or schedule. Complex duties duties.

No career advancement

There is not much support in terms of learning. Most of the times I work independently and there is not much motivation floating in the office. I believe it is important for one to also work and report closely with people that you can learn from on a daily basis. working under or for an incompetent authority can be very demotivating as they will most likely lead you to the wrong direction and hamper you from progressing faster in one's career.

Pros: Opportunity to meet other successful business men and nertwork
Cons: unprofessional working environment
