Good learning experience but earn below market related
people are very friendly and provides a conducive atmosphere to do work. People play hard and work hard. It is easy to make friends and network. The one thing challenging about working in the Investment bank is nepotism and unfair representation within senior executives. It is even more challenging in this environment. You have to have a thick skin.
Pros: Great Learning experience

Experience held
At the time of my resignation I was a business manager for 5 years at Standard bank, I have started from the bottom as a teller and therefore I am vast in the industry. I ran the most profitable portfolio in the country in my segment.I am driven , focused , and can work well under pressure. I am willing to work myself up again as a business manager , however I would appreciate a business manager position if available.I am passionate about good customer service and uphold highest standard of integrity.

Cons: working outside Gauteng wont be ideal for me

Processing and analyzing the transactions that comes and goes out of the bank to determine whether requirement adhere to Standard Bank procedure by using BDS Financial System and Excel, Provide feedback and Weekly report

Growth and exposure
i have learnt a lot and busy involve in the project of building the data mart for the insurance division of the bank. i have been involved in that project since i joined the company

Great learning curve
I grew to adapt as it was my first job/work experience. I worked quiet well with the team. My day to day job would require me to check if I have everyone to open business and they all ready. Make sure we have enough money to start our day and welcoming smile for our customers. I enjoyed getting my department in order and making sure we prepared for our day. The most challenging was time.

Diverse and great learning curve
I attend to day to day Sales to meet target. Attend to customer requests either walk in or appointments, servicing their profiles i.e. withdrawals, personal information changes, queries and new business ( close deals). Call prospects , Filing & attend to meeting requests. I see my working environment as an adventure as you will never know what to expect, whilst i'm at it I go with the flow and enjoy together with the challenges that comes accross and resolve them where necessary.I focus on what needs to be done and that for me is a coping mechanism for any dissapointments that arises.
Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: Industry qualifications deadlines - if you don't pass at deadline you are debared

Family relocation
I worked for Standard Bank for 13 years, have experience in Telling, Customer Service Consultant, Sales Customer Consultant and Teamleader position. Unfortunately, my spouse was transferred to Johannesburg and also had to relocate with him, therefore I resigned on the 12 February 2016. I had a great working relationship with everyone and got along very well with all my co-workers. What I enjoy most us dealing with people and very passionate about customer service and strongly believe in giving excellent customer service to all my clients irrespective of gender, age, cultural background, ethnic group, that is how I differentiate my self from other Sales Consultants and giving the best customer service us what differentiate the company from other competitors.

Able to work under pressure
ive enjoyed working for the bank but have to move else where.my team leader was welling to assist us able to coach you. must challenging part was that you need to be extra careful with the notes and cheques as some are counterfeit notes.the relationship between me and my co-workers was excellent and at the end of the day we are suppose to work together to reach the banks goals .
Pros: ive learned a lot,clients behavour,and how to keep secrets as i deal with clients cash ,eg when a 3rd part came to draw and theres no cash on clients account you dont tell the 3rd part about the account.
Cons: few hours of work as we were on contract of 110 hours a month and the branch was very quity

Fairly good
Working in the bank is challenging but fun , you learn a lot of new things on a daily basic , helping customers has always been my passion and going the mile to give them the best that I can , from thinking I was not a people's person and working in the banuking industry has changed my perspective of who I am and how I am, it's been a good journey and it has its pros and cons to each day , not everyday is a good day as some customers can be difficult at times but it's something that I deal with always and give them the benefit of the everything as they say customers are always right.
