Pros: Since i have started working for my current company, i have gained a experience is Oil, energy and petrochemical industry since im was in construction industry. I started as a junior safety proctitioner but i have worked my up to be a specialist in SHE. I now believe im in a better position to move ranks to persue a position as a manager.
Cons: I do not have much to say im not about about, however, i will like to grow as person in my career.

Fast leaner and open to learning new thing in the industry
Electrical maintenance and repair of lights. Rotating machines , cable jointing up to 3.3kv , working on dc machines,fault finding , read and draw electrical schematics ,

Learning Organisation
A typical day in my position can be somewhere in between a laid back atmosphere in the office (open Plan) to an event filled day on the factory facility. This could be between developing material for our business processes or facilitating improvement teams to achieve business optimization and objectives.

Cons: At times you are dependant on others to achieve your targets

The time is now to surge to greather heights.
Sasol is a dynamic company where the only constant is change. Changes happen rapidly at Sasol and employees quickly get on the busy to keep the wheels turning. The company strives continuously for a high performance culture and excellence. Team members at the company have a lot of respect for each other. Everyone is constantly reminded of rules and policies so that these can be followed to achieve high end results. I enjoy optimising systems and processes so that people can achieve maximum productivity with minimum difficulty. I maintain inclusive environment for my team so that we maintain transparent communication thus instilling the value of trust. Challenges involve trying to get results from other internal stakeholders. There is a lot of room for improvement and this must be done by putting SLA's in place between other service departments. I have a very analytical nature and think out of the box for every situation before a decision is made.

Ive taught my self much
i enjoy my daily job . i get along very well with my co-workers in a way that we have built our relationship as a family, but most of all we don't forget that we there to work and gain more skills.most of all i enjoy working under pressure more especially given other peoples work to help the because thats learning more than what i expected.the most challenging aspects is when given a short time to finish your work .
Pros: its a great oppportunity wereby am able to work under pressure and meet the deadline before a stipulated time.
Cons: we work long hours that is 12 hours

Excellent learning

Pros: Enjoying the Learning department as i meet a lot of people from different back grounds.
Cons: Travelling to work as i stay in the East Rand.

I am glad to have worked for this wonderful company for more than 10 years.
I manage a team of more than 250 personnel across the Southern African region i.e SA, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. I do a lot of travelling as most of my sites are situated in remote areas across South Africa. I have a strong team with strong interpersonal skills and have one common goal and that is to achieve as a team. We have a good understanding of each other and our expectations are well defined and accepted by all of us. I have learnt that without a team no one can achieve anything. What i enjoy most is the level of diversity within my department and the way they respect each other and their respective jobs. The most challenging aspect of my job is that it entails lots of travelling and sometimes i miss a lot in terms of my kids everyday development but a man has to work to provide a better future. My family understands as we have a common goal.
Pros: Great opportunity for growth.
Cons: Having to wake up at 2am whenever there's an incident on the road.
