Excellent learning opportunity

As a receptionist/ admin assistant for the company, I was in-charged of: Operating the switchboard, filing, and working closely with the directors and managers. My relationship with my co-workers are great, but we maintain a professional working environment. I have learnt a lot of new things working here, such has how to be tough in hard situations and I have also achieved a lot as I aim to achieve my goals. I enjoy working here and doing the job that is expected of me, and my co-workers make work feel like 'home away from home' The most challenging aspects of my job was working closely with the director, but i have learnt a lot from him.

Cons: No progression to grow

Fast learner

My work is very challenging. It's on your feet thinking. I have learned a lot about how to set an example to my fellow college's. I also learn that what you but your mind to you can do if you work hard and believe in yourself.

Learnt to be consistent

Working as cashier/packer you serve different customers with different attitude.There was no team work at retail solutions that's why customers always complains @ big stores.i have learnt to multi task.Retail solutions is a company that taught me to relocate and I ended up enjoying to move from one place to another.

Pros: The possibilities of promotion were high

Passion for numbers

I work assisting customers at Builders Warehouse, meaning to load their cars with the things they bought. I do enjoy it because some customers give the assistants tips wich very much helps a lot. I do not have any problems with my co-workers, they are very friendly and so am I.

My everyday working expirience

Check & monitor employees communicate whit them regardin their performance and attendence. All i have leant workin for retail solutions because it took me ro different stores wher by theres different enviroment people & cultures mostly how to work & communicate with other people what is sense of emergancy & takin ownership for something. Interacting whit my employees this guys stories & excuses is hilarious more espetialy when they know theyve been cought. When our client comes to me & ask were are your people that time you also dont know because no one reported anything to you.

Pros: Getting a chance to learn diffrent departments how they work
Cons: Hours i dont like & being ar work on a weekend

More exposure in my field of learning

We are a very fast passed recruitment agency, I love being busy all the time though and gives me great joy when my work is always up to date and know exactly where to find everything, we have a office in Johannesburg and our cape Town branch I don't know much of the employees in Johannesburg but our Cape Town branch is really a bunch of amazing people.

Pros: Gives me more exposure
Cons: Very low salary

Work well under pressure, always willing to learn new things

My relationship with work colleagues are excellent, we get along very well. A typical work day for me is always good. I have learnt to be patient and never to go overboard. I enjoy learning new things, interacting with people, etc.

Wonderful experience

Working at a retail outlet has made me realize that there is a lot more to it than just a normal working day. You work with lots of different people daily and have to assist with their needs. If it is requesting time off because their child needs to be taken care of or a funaral of a family member. Woking with their hours received from HR and making sure they get paid correctly and just being there for them and a shoulder to cry on when they need it the most.

Pros: Working independently
Cons: Long hours and little pay
