A challenging but worldly experience

It has been a very varied set of experiences, within this single job, which has changed from time to time over the past seven years. I worked 9-5 every day of the week, as well as overtime. I enjoyed a close relationship with my co-workers, all of whom I supervised. We had an open, honest and collaborative working relationship. I learnt how to deal with challenging and unexpected circumstances, which taught me a lot about how to think on my feet, be even more creative and stay calm. Due to the varied nature of the work I did and the people I worked for, I got the opportunity to do a lot of different things: a highlight was editing a book of poetry that one of my employers wrote. The ill health and aging of my employers was the most challenging aspect of the job.

Excellent learning and working environment

I facilitate, assess, moderate on first aid Level 1, 2, and 3 and health and safety courses. Assess all the modules for Document C and the Accredited Trainings as required by Health and Welfare SETA. Train Anglo Gold Ashanti Miners in Africa, Monitor and orientate new instructors. Design and develop Training Material and deal with industrial first aid trainings. Train first aid for project s such as UK and National Lottery.

Excellent learinig curve, international experience, variaty of sites,

The company is fast growing. It operates internationally rendering specialized electrical services. There are 132 staff members wit 1 international branch in DRC and 4 local branches - HQ in Nelspruit, Middelburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. The co-workers are professional and friendly, we do not socialize much because of the huge workloads and demands. I learnt a great deal on specialized transformer and power generation services as well as different site requirements and standards from mining, construction to production industry and manufacturing. The most challenging is the international standards and different site specific SHEQ requirements.

Pros: International contacts, new challenges daily
Cons: Fast pace, changing client requirements on short notice

Customer Service

A typical work day start at 05H30 till 13H00 and then from 15H30 to 21H30. I work my own hours, no sick leave or bonus. No relationship with co-workers. I enjoy discovering new ways of work and seeing new places. There is no fixed salary.

Im a very dedicated and hard working individual. Im not afraid of hard labour.

I enjoy working in a group especially various races. That gives me the opportunity to learn the various cultures. I'm very hard working and are always available for overtime work. The most challenging for me is when a supervisor is not fair, but have his own favourates.

Pros: I would love to be a senior storeman one day
Cons: If i must work late and their is no provision made for trasport

Love doing courses in my own time to keep me up to date with the corporate world.

I love reception work, being kind and helpful is what I strive for. I am well organized, a perfectionist and plan my daily work ahead for the week. I am an eager learner and truly love learning new things. I want to grow as a company grows. Where I am no, I can't grow in my work - I am the Admin Head. To put new things in place in a company, gives me pure joy.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth if given a chance.
Cons: Would love to work Monday to Friday as I no work Monday to Friday and every Sunday.
