Provide a professional policy administration service to all client of Iconnect by managing all assigned tasks in a professional and competent manner. To accurately and within the agreed standards, capture client and policy information (such as New Business, Policy renewal and amendments) onto the policy management system. To compile Management information as required by suppliers and/or clients from time to time. Print, collate and distribute policy schedules and wordings to clients within agreed standards Record all the errors and omminisions done by team members and giving a report to the manager on a monthly basis. Allocate work flow to the team members and compiling the workflow stats on a weekly basis ensuring that we are still within the SLA’s I have learned to be accurate and concentrate in my job. Handle pressure well. The envirment great people i work with.

Cons: Work load is too much, no perfomance bonus at the end of the year, no matter how good you have perfomed

Responsible for service delivery and retention, ensuring successful renewal of insurance contracts. Familiarity and compliance with all company policies, statutory and regulatory requirements. Ensure that technical, claims and service delivery standards are properly implemented for the client in terms of quality management systems, while also applying comprehensive knowledge of all standards applicable in respect of the client service delivery . Lastly, ensure all products and services available within Marsh Africa are marketed to the client as appropriate including assisting in developing and mentoring junior staff. Extensive experience in working with large and small policies
Handling medium to large sized corporate ,accounts full responsibility of compilation of broking notes, full responsibility of compilation of signing slips, market negotiations on all sized accounts, accounts and larger accounts without supervision, actively involved in building of relationships in local ,market at management level , active participant in renewal strategy meetings and market negotiations attendance of key client meetings e.g. pre-renewal and renewal meeting, dealing with wholesale broking market ,internal client & insurer liaison ,collation of underwriting information,management & administration of renewal, broking ,and placement processes external meetings with clients, contact staff and insurers as required.

Excellent exposure to varying global management cultures.
My company provides an exciting mix of conservative business models vs innovative thinking in a very old industry, with diverse management cultures across the globe. It is exciting to be part of solution development across 1st world and developing geographies while dealing with generational, digital and other developments across our entity. It also demonstrates the dangers of trying to standardise a big organisation with a diverse client base without understanding the unintended consequences that this can cause.

Determination
A typical day at The office for me includes getting coffee first thing in the morning saying hello to everyone, seeing if everyone is doing well. Then I start on my day.I don’t believe I experience that many challenges in such a way I mean dealing with clients who owe money that is challenging but then yet I love problem solving so to solve something is always an exciting challenge

Marsh has a fast pace business environment. I work within a team of 13 Hr professionals. 4 of which consist of the payroll / hr operations teams. I have a good understanding qith all my co workers. On a daily basis I offer support and guidence to the Hr and payroll administrators. I am a supervisor of two payroll administrators. I have learnt how to process and manage the payroll for 1500 employee over 6 South Africa entities and 7 African countries. I have also learnt how to control my teams function by audit standards. I enjoy working within a large team amd i enjoy learning and providing support to all team memebers. The most challenging aspects of my job had been to stabilise the payroll environment.

My Tenure at Marsh
Working at Marsh has been challenging yet rewarding. I have learned so much about myself and learned how to be more confident. I have also been able build strong relationships with colleagues and learned that sometimes you just have to have thick skin and not take things so personally. What I enjoyed most was that I was given the ability to work freely and independently, without being micromanaged.

Excellent learning curve
Having more quality check of work and understanding the dependency of my job on superiors and audit criteria. The basic tasks forming a cluster are Invoicing, Reconciliation, Feduciariary ( invoice matching with Bank Statement entries), Query resolutions, Emailing, Attending calls, Quality Check and Review process.
