Very advantagious career turn.

I have a very much challenging job. I have very much helpful colleagues, which aids in relieving work related stress. I have realized that being a committed member in a committed team is fundamental to company productivity. Dealing with varying personalities of clients and diverse queries but hearing a "thank you" from a satisfied client, is rewarding and surely enjoyable. The most challenging part would be difficult complaints from clientsand still trying to retain the same client.

Pros: Great experiance
Cons: Diverse department, so some sub-divisions are more heavier than other.

Excellent learning curve.

I gained valuable experience in the financial services industry during the past five years working for Frank.net I started as a Quality Assessor and grew into the role of a medical underwriter. My medical knowledge has improved a great deal as well as my confidence.

Pros: flexibility of my manager
Cons: not much room for growth.

Good company, excellent people to work with. Gain alot of knowledge

Work starts at eight. You get your work for the day and work through it ,get done to get more work. Getting inbound calls , assisting with investigations, assisting with emails the clients sends in. Complaints and sending out documentation to clients. The relationships within the environment of the work place is good. Everyone gets along with each other. You learn a lot in the insurance industry. How it works. The pro's and the con's. You learn something new everyday. I enjoy mostly learning things new day , gaining more and more knowledge. And the friendships being built within the company. There isn't any. The team work is good. Everyone help each other out where they can.

Pros: Great environment to work in.
Cons: The growth within the company is slow.

Excelent track record at current employer

Current company is in the process of retrenchment, well establish company, slow growth opportunities. have learnt a lot over the past 5years, pressured work environment enjoyed my colleges and the work environment most changeling in the work space was the process that was not in place. lack of communication from a management point of view.

Pros: quike learner
Cons: will to work extended hpurs

It was a good experience of intermediary services

I sold life investment policies for standard bank such as Life cover, disability cover, serious illness cover, and salary protection cover. I worked on a monthly target of at least converting 30 clients in a month and for each client I earned commission from the first sale and my average was 24 clients in a month. There were daily incentives run on a daily basis such as vouchers and etc.. I leant a lot about customer engagement and interaction for it has helped me in my own personal capacity, more especially when dealing with those exciting clients that always pick up a fight for there're own mistakes, it is how I learnt to handle those objections that gave me confidence in relating and speaking up to anyone. I enjoyed that about my work.

Pros: growth winthin the company
Cons: more options of making good money

I am a fast learner. I ask losts of questions & take notes.

We are a goal orientated team. Month End is our busiest time & decided to write all our deadlines & to do list on a board in our office. As one finishes a task, they go & cross it & we have a brief meeting end of each day where we recount what is done & what has not been done & we do the next day's planning. Month end last two weeks & the other two weeks, we have individual deadlines with our line manager. I work very well with my team, we look out for another & we teach. I learned how to manager assets, how to create a processes, how to capitalize & dispose Assets. I learned that long term insurers face penalties & Fines if requirements are not met. I learned that creating financial statement is a process. The most challenging parts about our team is that if one is off sick for more than two days, it puts a strain on the entire team, especial on month-ends.

Pros: You get amazing exposure to most finance work. You are given work & you self-manage on how to produce the work needed to meet your deadlines. I worked with Assets, safe custody, purchasing, Capitalizing etc. Monthly reporting to different stake holders & statutory reporting
Cons: We work longs hours when team memebr is off sick & promotion is only available when a senior person resigns

My experience at Frank.Net

I start work between 8 and 8:30. I always plan my days so that I can be productive and effective daily. We have daily meetings with my team to ensure that we focus on areas of development for the previous day and also what we did well on the previous day. I have a great relationship with co-workers, always interacting and building relationships with them. It's important to build relationship with colleagues as you get to know them on a personal level. My current role has helped me expand my leadership skills and interpersonal skills. I've learnt to work well under pressure as the industry is very demanding and there's a lot of pressure daily. I love the relationship I have with the staff, motivating, mentoring and supporting them. Helping them realize their full potential. The most challenging aspect would be negative staff that complain daily about everything, people who don't see anything good and positive in situations.

Pros: Every day not the same
Cons: No benefits
