Daily one offer advice and respond to line management/clients requests on human resource functions and condition of service. Partnering with the business in Management committee meetings planning and executing plans,complying policies and procedures, support management in Employment Equity and Skills Development committee meetings with labour. Attending to Sectional meetings with co-workers to share information on KPAs and KPIs , monitoring targets and developing new trends in HR. Coordinating performance management, transformational activities and development of staff. I enjoy been the face of HR in the organisation to line management, the partnership in planning and helping the business to meet the targets. The lessons learnt are that line management like visible HRBP, and respect HR that is spontaneous and with prompt responses

I am currently a procurement Officer , and I have experirnce in Buying, expediting and warehouse.
I’m proactive, independent and a hardworking individual who thrives in performance driven culture and I’m detailed orientated and deliver quality deliverables which distinguishes me among my peers. I have the drive and motivation to be successful and am evident in my work ethic. I have good Relationship with my co-workers because we understand the importance of team work and we need not to focus on our defferences but to deliver what is required from us. I have learned that principlas and hard work are very important you need to deliver what is requirted from you and give the best. I enjpoy reaching dead line on time and excelling on my job giving the best to the company. The most challeging is working for a company that does not have vison or plan there work ahead.

Career path
I am currently facilities manager with Eskom based in Simmerpan Germiston. I look after the National Key point and 32 substations. I have got a team of five senior supervisors, and four technical supervisors. I draw up a maintenance plan and participate in budget creation
Pros: Development and opportunity to learn and upgrade oneself
Cons: It is a parastatal and chances of changing the status quo is so difficult

Good opportunity to learn and develop in the power producing industry
Training as a process engineer at Hendrina Power station consists of daily performance monitoring of the units and providing feedback to improve the units efficiency and throughput. The typical day consists of a review of the performance from the previous night, attending meetings and then trouble shooting for any plant issues. It involves monitoring the parameters, investigating the scenario and providing a solution to any defects that pertain to the department. In conjunction, understand and take part in the execution maintenance strategies in the various departments. I work with people from various disciplines, each having a different insight on the task that I can learn and develop from.
Pros: Multiple discipline involvement with operational, maintenance and engineering training
Cons: Job security after the training contract is not guaranteed

Good learning skills
I am an ambitious person with high expectations in life as a whole. I am an adventourous and an outgoing person with full self confidence. I am a self motivated and self disciplined person. I am an easy person who learns fast and adopt quickly to the different working environment. I love life and willing to assist others or learn from others where possible. I am the lady of my own special personality.

Excellent place to learn and grow
I love working with people and find that building lasting relationships makes the work place somewhere you want to go everyday. Some managers believe in the concept of managing outputs and not time, but that is very rare in the current environment. So typically time sheets are filled in daily you could end up clock watching rather that being productive in the hours you are at work. The challenges are finding a work-life balance as well as dealing with the political nature of our business, but that can also teach a person who is willing to learn from every situation.

Dealing with complexity
A typical work day is to navigate a complex work environment given the organisational context which is constantly changing and uncertain. I build three important elements in a relationship - mutual trust, respect and freedom of expression. I enjoy it when my work is meaningful, I am making a positive contribution, continuously improvement and having fun at work. I have learnt not to take myself too seriously, rule number six of Ben Zander in his book, 'The art of possibilities". The most challenging aspects of the job is that several barriers are created because of the political nature of a SOC.
Pros: Great opportunities to learn and discover more about self and others
Cons: Decision Making is extremely slow, especially when the business need requires improvement such as system or process change.

Excellent learning curve
LV, MV and HV maintenance, through dispatch and control. Good communication skill is need at all times, since we communicate through phones and MDT radio. Time management, operating processes and LV, MV and HV apparatus inspection. I enjoy Taking instructions from control when operating and fault finding. Nothing challenging about my job.
Pros: Great opportunity for promotions
