Excellent learning curve, great company culture
The hospital exposed me to a variety of departments and how they operate. Great corporate culture, the relationship between employees was great. A few challenges here and there but nothing we couldn't deal with. Opportunities for growth are very limited, easily reached my ceiling.

EXCELLENT LEARNING CURVE
Working for the Department of work needs somebody who is on their toes 24/7. It is a difficult Department to work in as it deals with peoples lives. You get complaints almost every single day irrespective of which office you are in. You need to be able to assist people by directing them to the right official, clinic, hospital or District. It is very important to know the medical terminology as to know what they are talking about. The Health Department has taught me a lot, I have learnt to work with people and also work independently, I have learnt to work under pressure, I have learnt to understand the departmental Cash flow as I am also a member of the Cash-flow Committee for the office of the Head of Health.

Learning more about the duties of a health lromoter
.excellent curve, because we doing all the duties of health promotion according to ottawa charter. what i like the most about the job is i get to interact with community members on the ground

Good way to start a career
Good environment to work in. Great colleagues, we do have our misunderstanding sometimes , but they are great to work with. how to manage conflict and time. we work under huge pressure and we do by all means to reach the deadline. I enjoy doing my work, i am that person who cannot relax enjoy being busy and i found myself more comfortable when i am working. having to work with my supervisor she can be difficult at times, and doing the annual budget report.

Good for experience
I currently work in the emergency and accident department. On a day to day basis I manage emergency cases, investigate and treat appropriately. We have to work as team, and due to my position, I am the team leader in order to manage the patients effectively. We have to always work as a team, and working under pressure effectively is of vital importance. Every week, we check and report on stock levels to assist the nursing manager in ordering necessary medication and consumables necessary for the smooth operation of the department. Once a month, we present our statistics for the department to the rest of the hospital using one of the tools for reporting provided to us for this purpose.
Pros: Good working comradeship

Great exposure
Theres a great balance between pracricial work exposure in the field and office paper work. Im working as an Environmental Health intern and carry out duties such as collecting water samples for analysis, waste management activities, and regular inspections at food premises... to name a few... in my office we are around 50 stafff... forming part of the BCMM staff... and we all work well together.. i particularly enjoy environmental health waste management at tbe landfill sites.. which we monitor reguarly... and as much as it is a challenge, i enjoy being involved in something that saves or changes our environment for the good.

Learning all the finance field
Asset section ,logistics, expenditure,stores,salary,transportation. Working from monday to Friday from 7:30 to 16:30. The relationship between me and my mentors is very good as im so respectful and good that they are always working good.I have learned all the systems in field I have gone through.I enjoy mostly working with the computer and working together with the people who are willing to learn.

People and project management
Critical resources for the project are people , finance and time. this is what a I keep in mind daily focussing while on the process on the output. Balancing management of the three above resources has been a daily challenge since co works and subordinates might not be developed to a point where they are able to manage that well in their sub project management building up to a bigger picture , I enjoy the output and the extend to which the out put contribute to the bigger picture . for me to share this joy better , I always promote understanding of the bigger picture by even the least person in the line

I a always willing to deliver the full service
I can always work under pressure I have learnt to work with group's of people The most challenging thing is when users lie about something while you trying to resolve that specific case

Cons: I only able to speak, read and write only two official languages which is English and IsiZulu
