MY TYPICAL DAY AT WORK,I ALWAYS COME TO WORK AN HOUR EARLY,I START MY DAY WITH MY ADMIN WORK THAT I HAVE TO DO ON A DAILY BASIS AND BALANCE THE ATM MACHINES,AT AROUND 8 THERE IS A MORNING MEETING,THAN 8:30 MY DAY STARTS DOING TELLERS/CUSTOMER SERVICE,THAN AT THE END OF THE DAY,I DO MY AFTERNOON LISTINGS AND BALANCING.I GET ALONG VERY WELL WITH MY CO-WORKERS BECAUSE I AM FREE SPIRITED AND I HAVE A WARM HEART ,I HAVE LEARNT A LOT THEREFORE I AM MULTI SKILLED WHICH MAKES ME AN ASSET,I ENJOY LEARNING NEW THING BECAUSE I HAVE A CURIOUS MIND AND I ENJOY A CHALLENGE,THE MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT OF MY JOB IS DEALING WITH A DIFFICULT CLIENT.

A typical day would be monitoring claims registered. allocating to my team. motivating team to perform at their best. I mentor and coach staff members and have a great track record at promoting team members. I enjoy developing others. Good learning opportunity
I learned a lot by being in the environment where laws are constantly changing. Not only did I learn about different laws and how to apply them in situation but It also taught me to constantly read methodologies so that I stay up to date all the time. I also learned that time management is important, in a big organisation where one is working with a lot of clients,it is important to plan your work so that you don't spend unnecessary time and you don't annoy clients.

Absa is a good organisation to work for. The down part is that you could be qualified for a better position but not get it due a manager not liking you. There is no room for growth if you do not know the relevant people

Check cash needed for ATM (4) load cash. Prepare cash for SBV pick up, count all atm deposit cash and balance them. Prepare foreign currency and distribute when needed by consultants fo forex. Prepare cash management template for rands and foreign currency. Send out update emails to relavent parties for cash management. Prepare ordered amounts by clients, distribute cash to the tellers and replenish their cash machines. Order foreign currency and clear what is not needed by the branch prepare listings to balance the day before. Count all cash given or banked for the day and clear cash to keep within limit. Balance all accounts and cash for the end of the day. Balance recons at the end of the month.

Cons: Schedule is not realistic and does not give time to recuperating (monday - monday)
