Good company,excellent benefits pressure too much risk of working with peoples money and fraudulent accounts and or money launderers always being up to date with new scams and always being vigilant to check id and payslip alerts of the robbery and the processes always have to be on your toes to make sure that work is done on time queries done feedback done calls made and good customer service,not compromising or putting our customer in a bad situation

Always an excellent learning opportunity
I enjoy additional value to people's life, changing families outcome. I get an opportunity to change people's course in life for the better. I get to have relationships with people from all walks of life. Having buddies in different departments, makes clients experience that much easier.

IT , skill,great Administration skills,very good management skill
I have good working relationship with staff. Very accurate and panctual. Can work under pressure. Handle work load very well. Have learnt a lot dealing with clients complaint and resolving issues. Staff disciplinary and conduct. Have learnt lot doing Judgments for Acting Judge Good Organising skill , functions, board meeting, workshops and conferences. Efficient and very neat .

Good experience with lot of learning
Absa is a good place you want to grow in all ways. It gives you enough opportunities to skill up yourself and be motivated at the same time. They are always eager to get the latest technologies for betterment of its customer service and giving a fair input in South Africa's development.

Working for absa has been a real learning curve and highlight for my career.My day to day job requirements needed me to fully engage with my colleagues to our day ahead on how to reach our expected production output.

Working at absa is an excellent place to learn and grow.
For the past 12 months I have been working in an Agile Scrum Team where my core skill has also been that of developer. Collaborating with Product Owners and other stakeholders. Working in an environment doing maintenance and new development in a system using a mixture of JCL, Easytrieve and Hogan COBOL Languages for the RBB Card division In Absa (Issuing team, back-end mainframe), where I was based. Emphasis was placed on, during testing, documenting that every line of code was tested. Part of the testing process was to prepare data and test data for 'testing unit' where a second developer followed the same test plan as the original developer, but overall look for bugs and test every part to ensure valid code going into system, in an effort to enhance quality control. I have found this to be critical in to understanding how we as a team are progressing with our Sprint Goal as well as understand and mitigate what is standing in our way of not achieving that Goal.

Working at ABSA.
ABSA has an awesome culture. People are always willing to help and teach and mentor. Education and developement is highly promoted thus staying at the cutting edge of whats happeneing in the industry. organisation are early adopters of technologies. Culture versatile with regard to working hours and remote working.

Working in a diverse environment and enjoying the different personalities
I am a people's person and enjoy not only speaking to others but listening and learning from them. You spend most of your awake time with your colleagues so i always try and make everyday a pleasant one. I always try to avoid conflict as it can lead to unpleasantness and thankfully have never been in that situation. Work could be stressful at times but I've learnt to always stay focused, calm and get through it to the best of my ability.
Pros: Nominated to be 2IC in department
Cons: Accepting there will be unfairness and favouritism. Lack of proper training.
