Absa Bank Reviews

Good for learning about the banking industry and good place to start for a first job

The campany has excellent staff benefits, they look after staff in terms of education. The calture is not the best a lot of people want to get to the top at all costs. I get along with almost everyone, I enjoy the ability to that they allow you to take ownership of the work you do.

Pros: Best benefit in the banking industry
Cons: Not enough growth opportunities

Excellent experience

I worked for 8 hours and it includes 45 minutes lunch, i would start by 7h00 sharp and knock off by 15h30 My relationship with my colleagues was very good I have learnt customers loyalty that is very important I would enjoy to draft the letters and them to the master of high court The most challenging part was when the clients swearing at you

Pros: Great exposure
Cons: Long phonetically from clients

Excellent learning curve its when i did more than 60 car applications in one months.

I enjoy selling cars , an industry populated by males and I am not treated differently as a female. I am a sale person at heart and I love assisting customers with financial aid to purchase a vehicle of their dreams. I enjoy working with other people If I am under pressure I excel, i don't accept failure. the most challenging aspect is working with people who have a negative attitude , i believe that negative attitude is the worst disability.

Pros: learning new things everyday, getting different challenges everyday and working with different dealers everyday.
Cons: working on weekends

Evolving working space

Environment is in constant mode of change. The growth trajectory is great, strategic direction is fantastic however there is a shortage of internal skills to drive the implementation of the strategy.

Pros: Great growth trajectory
Cons: Not enough expertise in the org to drive the change needed

Overalls a good company to work for. Great opportunities to grow and learn although tellers earn too little for the amount of pressure due to insufficient staff. There’s always intranet training available, so one never feels left behind because you constantly learn and learn new things and ways to improve service.
