Im willing to learn more with the experience that I already have.

We three fitters and are rotating to work standby. We working normal hours, from 07h00 till 16h00 with production workin three shifts. I'm now working for Zimalco for three years. And in that three years I became a safety rep and the chairperson for the skills and development. I'm very straight forward but dont like to be rude. I like people and are not choose, I believe in treating everyone equil. Ive leart 3phase motors and some chemistry, because of the interest that I always show in what I do. We a secondary aluminum smelting plant. Ialways like to know what we reproducing to a consumer's needs. What I enjoy most is the good relationship I'm having with my foremens, and my other colleagues. The most chellenging aspect of my job is to always keep to my time for production to run smooth and to work safe, or I can loose my life. Kind Regards: Topaz Van Zyl

Pros: The opportunity for growth is not available since I got the job, but I'm very happy with what I do.
Cons: We working normal hours. But if I get a breakdown and I'm on standby than I have sort out what ever problems we face, for production to run.

It was a good learning curve working 4 years now in a plant.

We do daily PM inspection, weekly and monthly. If your on standby, than your expected to do all breakdowns but will get help from my collueges if it becomes to much. I have a good relationship with my co-workers. Good communication and alot of respect for eachother. If someone gets out of line we gonna discuss the situation and than lough about it. The most chellenging aspect of the job is getting call outs and having a problem at home. But my wife is very supportive, that she always makes it easy for me.

Pros: If there is any chance for promotion, I'm open for the opportunity because I'm open for growth and are not scared of challenges.
Cons: Long working ours are not a problem because like I said my wife and family are supporting me through tick and thin.

Chemistry and health safety and enviromnental

As both lab analyst and heAlth safety and encviromental. It become as a leaning structure to ensure that my co.worker understand, chemical literature and their impact to the environment. I also enjoy being the one to mentor students from technikon helping them to complete their in-service training, it becomes as the challenging though cause but of the duties is to get project for them.

Pros: senior technician
Cons: from 7 am till 4 pm

Good to learn things and grow with a company, always willingness to help co workers,hard working

Hard working person, willingness to learn and help others, like to learn new skills and experience to help me grow as an individual, precautions have to be in order especially with furnaces and gaslines.

ARRANGE PLACING CONTAINERS FOR PACKING AND EXPORT SHIPPING. LIASE WITH TRANSPORT TO PLACE CONTAINER/S ISSUE CLEARING INSTRUCTION AND SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS TO FREIGHT FORWARDER. ARRANGE FORWARD COVER AND FEC. DO THE SHIPPING DOCS - IE BILL OF LADING, INVOICE AND PACKING LIST CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN AND EUR 1 AND COA FOR EACH CONTAINER. RECON AND CONFIRM RATES AND APPROVE INVOICES FOR PAYMENT IE FREIGHT FORWARDER AND TRANSPORTER. DO COSTING ON EACH SHIPMENT. RELIEF ON SWITCHBOARD AT LUNCHTIME. I LOVE THE BUZZ SHIPPING GIVES YOU. NOT EVERY DAY IS THE SAME.
