Beautifully Different

I currently work at a Lodge as admin manager which includes advertising, marketing, housekeeping and event coordinating. So different from what I'm use to in the freight industry but both jobs gives me the ultimate satisfaction of working with people, my first Love. I am a peoples person and just love meeting new people. My normal work day consist of multiple challenges, from arranging bookings according to the guest specification to jumping in, rolling up my sleeves and cleaning up to perfection for the next guest arrival. I certainly have met people from many difference walks of life and how difference people are, some nice, some difficult but in the end it is my job and well within me nature to ensure a Happy Guest relationship. I am a natural problem solver, I always love fixing things or situations, I teach my son as well, don't be part of the problem, be part of the solution and in my everyday function I'm always fixing things, always being the problem solver and I love it.

Pros: From here I can possibly expand to 5 star places
Cons: Long and odd working hours

The excellent learning curve for new logistic application

The culture is not great Provide desktop and remote support to our Johannesburg and Regional Offices. • Installation, configuration and deployment of desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral equipment. • Hardware and software support for desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral equipment. • Reporting and managing risks to end user experience, productivity or systems. • Log incidents, requests and changes using the ticketing system. • Manage users AD accounts on systems (reset passwords, create new accounts etc). • Provide assistance with AV / VC equipment. • Setup mobile devices

Pros: Great working opportunities
Cons: Hard to get a promotion

On the ground exposure to Freight Forwarding industry

Ziegler offers direct exposure to the Freight industry with a vast wealth of knowledge but dos come with some challenges by means of difficult change management approach. CEO micromanages and does not trust any work from staff, which poses a challenge

Pros: Great learning opportunity, direct exposure to Freight industry.
Cons: Difficult Senior Management, not willing to try new Technologies

Good learning curve

it was good working with different cultures learning a new thing every day and teaching new things to employees been working there for years, coming with new energy and they liked me
