Experienced safety officer

Safety legal,safety acts,m Manufacturing cables for Eskom using a very big rewinding machine to mould cables.A big manufacturing company from China under SA Asia and my typical work is very busy because I'm working in an industry where safety measures are on big demand as it is a risky business area and since I get here workplace injuries are zero tolerance compare to before.I communicate well with my co workers as I have a pep talk with them about safety every Monday.They report any safety hazards that affect them.The most challenging aspects in my job is working with Chinese because they don't understand any English word so now I've registered with a language school to learn Chinese.I enjoy everything about safety and securing company financial loss.Ive learnt to work with people from different cultures and to respect their belief

A typical day, include capturing of Production Analysis Report. Creating labels from job cards & updating my production score board. My relationship with co-workers is excellent, as interact with purchasing, Quality & Marketing departments. In this job i have to be very careful of the numbers, as they play a critical role. I mostly enjoy interacting with my colleagues & our vendors, (clients) & 3rd party logistics. I find most challenging, knowing which orders contain the different type of steel wire to aluminium wire & the specifications.

Pros: Getting to learn about the production side of things.
Cons: Language barrier

Learned a lot working there

Ive learned a lot working there ive learned to work as a team and how to operate and handle working with big machines it was a very good working experience and lots of responsibilities that will help me in the furture

Cons: Im used to working long hours 12 hours per shift and lso working on weekends
