Learned alot

I was employed as a workshop worker and very quickly promoted to site manager. It was a big learning curb for me as they deal in glass & aluminium when I am used to construction. however now the company is going through difficulties and a large amount of people are being retrenched.

Pros: grew very quickly in the company
Cons: unfortunately was not the salary i am used to

Good experience

Typical work day consists of on site @ 7:00 and leaving @ 17:00. Lots of office and site work. 50:50 more or less. Relationship with co-workers is mostly only professional. I have learnt about resource management, time management and thinkin ahead. I enjoy most when something I measure and issue is correct and approved and fits when eventually delivered to site. The most challenging aspecs of this job is figuring out how to do things that I never have done before becous management is mostly too busy to be able to explain everything to me and show me how things are meant to be done. This means I mostly learn out of making mistakes which does not do good for my confidence in the company.

Pros: Management role
Cons: Long working hours and 200km + per day of driving.

My working experience

My experience working for world of windows have thought me a lot on how to deal with workers and and architects from various sites across the western Cape and how to make sure the standards are met that keeps the client happy.I have not Only learned from them but from all the people I worked with that there is always something new to learn or new ideas that can be put to work.Therefor I am always up for a new challenge and I take my job very serious when it comes to standard.
