Great learning experience

A typical day at work for me is to ensure that everyone's pay is accurate and they are paid the correct amount each month. I deal with money on a daily basis such as issuing of floats and making sure that whatever money (either going out or coming in the company) is captured correctly on the system. Disciplines of employees are sent out on a weekly basis as well as capturing of staffing and making sure that maternity as well as medical aid is done correctly and sent off to our head office without any mistakes. I have a great relationship with my co-workers as well as the staff. I have learnt that service before self is very important, as I always do my best to make sure that the staff is happy and that their needs are met. I have learnt a lot in the few months that I have been in my role and have realised that retail is more than just helping external customers as staff members are our internal customers. There are no specific challenges as each day has a challenge of its own

Depending on who you report to, you will have opportunity to grow.

Hardly any interaction with other employees on your level. Does not have any involvement with relevant discussions wrt the work you do.. The person that's supposed to train you is sscared you will take their job. Job is not challenging enough. Culture is just terrible, depending on your race you get overlooked.

Ecxellent learning curve

Great working ethics , high drive on quality and community development. weekly sales target around 4.5 mil a weel under trading square metre of 1117. store strengh on perishable sales compared to long life with as split of 70/30 % . managing over 100 employees with different shifts in a day including night shift. able to facilitate induction for new employee and share vision as well as translating business stratergies for day to day opperation. able to train , retail and nature talent.
