Working for Wonga was an excellent opportunity to grow in the business as its still a journey to get where the company wants to reach. A lot of departments are still being created to expand the business. What I love about Wonga is that you are not limited to your duties, you can observe in the department you wish to work at one day. I've learnt about fraud department, receptionist, administrative work and income validation and collections department.

-Work starts at 6:30, getting a early start to the day before others -typical working day consist of morning briefings, followed by structured day plan and evaluating both markets both UK and ZA for inbound,outbound, calls, live chats and emails .Provide feedback to managers and agents . -Enjoy the CBD life, corporate environment. -Learned so many skills in my working life. -Challenging aspects are trying to coach staff on the same things day in and day out, coming up with new methods for better learning experiences .

Pros: Flexible shifts , close to the gym , great working force
Cons: No parking provided, CBD parking is expensive .

Great memories at Wonga, tremendous growth opportunities and one amazing team.

After 4 amazing years working at Wonga. It’s been great working with all staff, and I’ve learnt so much throughout my time at Wonga. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the vast range of opportunities and helpful guidance. The crazy bunch of tech folks, they are unbelievable resilience and determination through those tough times and celebrating the victories through the good times. The management team, it has been one of the greatest learning experiences for me and I am grateful to have been part of the Wonga leadership team. The Core team, Tech management and our Chief Technology Officer, it has been an honour and privilege to be part of the team.

Excellent

Wonga is not a BPO call center. We are like a family. What I like most is that we know each other even the big bosses knows every one on the floor. The open door policy is for real. Working an a small environment has taught me so much, you get to interact with almost everyone, you get to learn different cultures/ language. Its easy to ask for help to anyone not just to your team mates. At wonga everyone is friendly and we are willing to help each and because its a small environment you try so hard to avoid to be in bad books like being late or absent because its easy for everyone to notice that. Before working at wonga I was not familiarised with live chats and email but now I can take a call and when there is availability I can work on my email.

Excellent learning curve

Great opportunities and conworkers ! Bad leadership team !!!! They don’t care about their employees. Every man for himself.no work and life balance. Stress levels high and definitely not worth the salary nor my sanity! Lack of process and uncertainty as to where the business is heading

Cons: No bonus, no over time and poor leadership team
